Well, it has been about two months since my mom visited, and started asking the locals to stop by the house. I was either asleep or out every time they came by.

Anywho, I was actually on my way out with wallet in hand when I answered the door. Two brothers there, with bibles...but they looked a bit intimidated. Only one spoke, and he said that my mom asked them to stop by and see what they could do to assist me to become active again. He said she told him that I had been for a long time, but for the past 4 or 5 years had not. He also invited me to the Memorial tomorrow night. Nice enough guy...but I told them politely I appreciated their concern, but yes, I knew where the KH was, and when the meetings were so if I should be so inclined to go I will. I was nice, but I think they were braced for the worst...at least before the brother started speaking he mentioned...oh it looks like you are leaving the house so I won't keep you.

I really REALLY wanted to shut the door behind me, get real close and say shhhhh.....I don't want my husband to hear you. I am not aloud to talk to JWs or he will beat me! But, while I would find that funny, that would just bound to come back and bite my in the butt somehow, hahaha.

Anyway...they came, they preached...they are gone....phew....

What do I do about a Bully?

there is this stupid kid who is picking on my 12 year old daughter.

it started at the begining of the school year and now yesterday the b*tch pulled my kids hair so hard she felt it an hour later.

two teachers know of the situation and have told my kid to just ignore it.

I had a similiar problem at my sons old school. Finally I called the principal and said, you tell this kids mother (he would not give me her number) that if he touches are even looks cross eyed at my kid one more time I am calling the cops. It actually worked.

If they are not cooperating, I would file a complaint absolutely.

I agree with you on the flirting comments, and how if you are sharing private things with someone else you would not share with your mate, you definately should take a close look at your relationship.

The gall of the bullies in brooklyn! I cannot believe they are even going as so far to say that married couples cannot engage in basically playing with it other, as it were. Foreplay in a JW marriage must be pretty damn boring.

Nothing else surprised me. I am convinced that if more JWs had a satisfying sexul and over all relationship with their spouse that they wouldnt feel compelled to spend so much energy on the religion. After all, all that walking in field service has to help work off those urges hahah.

Regarding pot...used to do that recreationally...my last joint was in May of 1990. I quit when I found out I was preggers....I stopped smoking cigs while I was preggo, but hopped back on them after I had my son...until dad died.

I don't think there is anything wrong with occaisionally use of pot, and think everyone that uses ought to consider growing their own...but of course THAT could get you in big trouble! I won't smoke now because it is illegal and just isn't worth the hassle. But I don't see it any worse than alcohol...too much of ANYTHING is bad for you...moderation is the key here.

I quit smoking almost 14 years ago...I quit cold turkey after my father died of a heart attack...he had smoke for 40 years. and they saw that he had emphasema too..

Get one thing through your head...you DO go through a difficult time when you leave the JWs but please please PLEASE don't think that it is just because you left. You need to never allow yourself to think that you fell into those things because you left the Kingdom Hall.

Anyway, when you try to give up smoking it is sooooo hard. It does make dealing with things hard when you try to get away from an addiction. I think smoking is much more difficult to give up them some harder drugs. I was pretty bitchy when I gave it up, but I don't think things were quite that severe. If you can, you should seek some therapy, it won't hurt.

Victory for Terrorism

the terrorists won a great victory in spain.

mind you, i'm all for the democratic process...it's great...and had the spanish decided to part ways with the us of it's own volition, great!...however, the socialists were project to not win a majority in this weekends election...that is until the terrorist attack.

now, with the socialist coming into power...and the promise to both withdraw the 1300 spanish soldiers from iraq and to part ways with the us on foriegn policy we can look for more such attacks in other countries.

I have to agree that Spain handled the whole situation poorly. They were too quick to blame the Vasques, and just didn't seem to know how to handle the whole sitatution.

Yeru, you do make an excellent point, but, most of Europe seems somewhat socialist anyway, so I do not think that really that party winning is a coo for the terrorists if it is Alquida.

Bad News Today

my mom's nursing home called today to tell me that the doctor recommended that she go on hospice care.

they said she has entered the last stage of alzheimer's and is not taking in nutrients, just liquids.

i'm going there tomorrow morning to fill out the necessary release forms.
