I always loved the - maybe when we hav populated the earth we will expand into the universe thing! lol, after they've killed off most of the scientific community i wonder haw many eons of overcrowding they would hav to put up with before getting an inbred genius, or maybe god would just magic it all for them as he takes SO much interest in the world.

With the "New Light" on 1935 will JW's come up with a Great Crowd "A" and B
by booker-t init is just getting like a rollercoaster ride with the changes going on at the wt society.
but it just don't surprise me as much as it used to.
i really believe that jw's will come up with a new doctrine of the "great crowd-a" (people going to heaven to help the 144,000) and a "great crowd -b" people staying on earth after armaggeddon.

Thats great, I'm very pleased for you. And when you can see there are occasional problems it confirms that your not wearing rose-tinted glasses, and makes you more relaxed (thats what i found for myself anyhow). Its great that your able to talk those problems through and get an even greater understanding of each other. Fantastic news. And youre both going to be published? Wow!

Let Kids see Dub Grandparents or?
by brunnhilde inmy mom and dad love my son, but i also know because of the depth of their brainwashing, they won't be respectful of my parenting (as i've asked them) and will try to "plant seeds" with him.
he's only 7, loves his grandma and papa very much and is easily confused and distressed when he gets conflicting info.
since we left the dubs, we've had a couple different run-ins with my parents trying subtle and not so subtle means to get at my son, or more accurately, get at me.

It's a tough call, kids can have a real special bond w/ their grandparents, & it's nice to let them hav it. But if the bond may be destructive then u hav to think it over. U kno what yr kid can understand and what they can't and how much they can cope or otherwise be confused. But if yr parents arent respecting yr boundaries, i think uv got just cause to keep supervision up.

Revelation Book - Outright Lie or just an "Untruth" ?
by AlphaOmega inis the following statement a lie ,or in the light of the feb 1st 2007 watchtower article "why be truthful", is it just an untruth?.
tremorsinhumansociety.
4 from the mid-1870s, jehovahs people had been anticipating that catastrophic events would start in 1914 .

Yes, lying includes the intention to deceive someone. Hence, to speak an untruth unwittingly—such as giving someone incorrect facts or figures by mistake—is not the same as to tell a lie.Every lie is an untruth, but not every untruth is a lie
Moreover, we need to consider whether the person asking for information is entitled to a comprehensive answer.Watchtower 1st Feb 2007
Maybe the dubs just aren't entitled to a comprehensive answer?
As to where you highlighted before (in red), well I can't see that the statement is incorrect by mistake. Arent the dubs led to believe that the borg reveiws all article before theyre published PLUS does all the research so that the dub doesn't need to look at any other sources. Whoever wrote the article and the people who reviewed it would know damn well that 1914 was predicted as THE END and not THE START.

I know someone from work who met their partner on-line, and theyre really happy. Its just like anywhere else, some people are honest some arent.
as long as you dont do anything obviously stupid like arranging to meet in a dark alley then go for it.
But you knew you'd get that comment didnt you? Had to put it anyhow.

I know its a bit of a laughed at suggestion but if you dont want to meet people in pubs and clubs you could try evening classes, then youve got common background straight away because you both want to do something enough to spend a bit of money to learn more.
Of course you may not meet the man of your dreams but you can make new friends and they might in turn introduce you to their friends.
Or try something a bit more adventurous - learn to climb - there are indoor centres with self belaying devices, canoe, windsurf - most places in britain have watersport lakes pretty near to them, those are really cool things to learn as long as your not very overweight, in which case its difficult to make huge amounts of progress until you have got some fitness back.
If you like sport - join the local supporters club, my hubby and I are in the local rugby supporters club, theyre generally a friendly bunch too.
I also joined the ramblers society 20-30's group they do alot of socials, not just walking. Pub nights(you obviously wouldnt want to go to those i spose), curry nights, go-karting etc
My first friend when I left the troof (other than my hubby and his friends) was a lady from our local takeaway. I got invited to her wedding and made another friend there too.

Chronolgy Chart in "Life" book.
by hamsterbait inthe new wt cd has removed the book "life everlasting in the freedom of the sons of god.".
can anybody put up a scan of the chronological chart ( around page 36 or so) that states definitely:.
"2975: end of christs milliennial reign.".
-
bluebell
Or are they going to say that it will happen at the end of the 7th rather than the start? HaHa couldn't u just imagine the mass exodus if dubs found it was going to be 2975

That letter sounds great, its nice and to the point.
I would like to say/write something similar if ones started calling on me, Ive only stopped for 3 or 4 years but no-one ever called after my "im not going to the meetings anymore" statement when an elder eventually noticed i'd stopped going after about 3 months of absence.
Could I filch off your letter if it ever came up?
