I keep thinking about him being just 14 yrs old. He does not have the maturity to make that kind of decision for himself. I can't help but to think back when I was that age, and I was faced with the blood issue, how I took my stand just like he did. Now I'm a grown adult and think completely different now that I'm out of the borg. I just wonder how he may have felt if had lived to become an adult, and saw that the JW thinking is not right?? But now he'll never have that chance. The society has changed their stance on the blood issue so much, as far as fractions are now acceptable, who's say there won't be more "light" on the subject and this little boy's death could have been avoided. It is so sad!!! Breaks my heart!

My 9 yr old has a Wii & the PS3. He got both for x-mas last year. He plays the PS3 all the time, and only plays the wii when he has friends over to play. The Wii is fun, even for me. Since she is a girl, I would say the Wii would be better suited for her. There is a new sports pack available now that looks like alot of fun that will work with the sports game that comes with the Wii. It will turn the remote into a baseball bat, tennis racket, golf club, steering wheel and other things...May try to get that for my son this year.

Going barefoot & playing in the creek behind our house, not worrying about snakes.
Playing ball in the road
Riding our bikes downtown or walking to the store downtown without fear of getting kidnapped.
Staying out past dark playing & catching fireflys
Picking apples off the tree and feeding the cow's & pigs in the pasture across from our house
Putting up the tent in the backyard and camping out
Wearing our under-roos outside to play in. (I had wonderwoman, my little brother had superman)

I have to agree with Renee that flour does not go in cornbread!!!!!
With the next debate, I would have to go with Candied Yams.

The wisdom of my 92 year old Alzheimer's stricken grammy...
by Elyse867 inso my grandma, a very devoted and loyal witness since she was in her 20's (?
) is now 92 and in a home, because she has very advanced dementia and alzheimer's disease.
she has better days than others, most days she just sits and stares... she doesn't recognize most people she knew.
