the most beautiful cardinal just hit the window in our den.

he's breathing, i can't tell if anything is broken.

i'd check a little closer but i don't want to get pecked or something.

I never did til a year and a half ago when I moved here. Now they fly into my sliding glass door frequently. I feel bad for them. They really crash into it hard, but so far they have always flown away. I do wonder if they're really ok, or if fly away to die. I am going to look into those decals mentioned in digderidoo's post.

Ozzie's Weekend Poll #160 - Why no windows?

it seems a long time ago now, but we used to regularly have an ozzie's weekend poll - kinda weekend stuff, y'know?

they ran weekly for three years but they faded - my ill health didn't help.

anyway, it's sunday evening downunderneath youse lot and things seem to be kinda quiet on the board - (where the hell are ya???

Well it happened I got into an accident at work this morning.

it snow last night from about midnight on.i was at work driving my cab.i usually don't drive in snowy weather but i didn't know it was going to snow last night.i was driving about 40 miles an hour on a plowed but not salted innerstate driving a customer to the airport.i hit an icy patch on the road and spun clear accrost the innerstate doing a complete loop.i hit the wall on the back passenger side.i messed up the bumper and tail light.the passenger was fine and not hurt at all.i hurt my back on impact.i strained some back muscles.. the passenger took it very well concerding he had a flight to leave the country he had to get on.problem was the trunk/boot of the car was smashed in on one side and i couldn't open the trunk to get his luggage out.the dispatcher called the towing company to come out to pry open the trunk/boot but they said they would be an hour.he couldn't wait that long so i took him to the cab company garage.i had a pry bar in my car.i was unable to pry the trunk/boot open myself.another driver was called to come get the guy and he was able to get the trunk/boot open.so he finally got his luggage out so he could go to the airport.. i had to fill out paper work for 2 hours.. lucky for me no other cars were involved and my passenger wasn't hurt.my lease is being held till i go downtown and speak to the big boss.so i can't work for the rest of the weekend.. my landlady is not going to be happy at all.i'm trying to catch back up from being behind on my rent.i went and got another job to help the situation but things keep getting in the way..

((((((((((noni)))))))))), So sorry. Glad it wasn't any worse. Hope your back feels better soon. I have had good luck with ice and an anti-inflammatory (like asperin or over-the-counter ibuprofen) if you can tolerate it. Jeez, you've really been through a lot lately.

My Wedding is coming up going to invite parents and siblings what to do????

my wedding is coming up and i am going to invite my mom and my dad and the rest of my siblings.

how should i react when my recently new regular pioneer mother starts pitching a fit????

I agree with momz. You could also call the chief of police in the town the wedding reception is going to take place and ask to hire a policeman for extra security. He would be an intimidating presence that would, hopefully, discourage any disturbances.

Adam and Eve - already dying BEFORE eating from tree?

i am in the midst of reading jehovah unmasked and have come to a very interesting point.

nathaniel j. merritt says that a close reading of genesis 3:22-24 shows that adam and eve were already dying.

i found this to be a very interesting idea, in addition to the very plain and simple use of words in that passage that clearly states indeed the serpent's promise to eve was correct.

I loved that book! It helped me to reconcile that the loving Father Jesus spoke of in the New Testament was not the same god of the Old Testament. I cannot worship Jehovah as he is utterly undeserving.

Does your pet do something funny?

my cat monty is a scavenger.

every night he brings an odd assortment of items to bed - this picture shows a little sock, two little mittens, a catnip sack, and two cords.

it also shows little lavender sneaking up on him to steal the black cord, which she loves.

My dog makes me laugh all the time. He's a Maltese named Milo. When I talk to him and say a word he has never heard before, he looks at me and cocks his head to the side like he is registering the word. The other day he was about 5 feet away from me and was whining. I had left his leash on him and he had gotten it stuck under the excercise bike and couldn't get on the couch. It was so funny. I kept calling him and he kept trying to walk over but stayed stuck. He finally took the leash in his mouth and tried to pull it free, but couldn't, so I took pity on him and rescued him laughing my head off.

I have a cat, Sam, who is very sweet, but she doesn't do anything funny. Oh, she has no voice so she meows silently. That's kind of funny, I suppose.

Sirona & DB74 are having a Baby!

for those that know us and that have been following our jwd love story...we cannot contain the news any longer, we have known now for over two weeks but wanted to wait until we had the last early pregnancy scan to confirm everything was ok. .

today we witnessed a miracle in the making and the ultimate in creativity - the scan confirmed a strong heartbeat and considerable growth since the last scan a fortnight ago.. we are going to be parents .

My daughter is in the hospital .......... it's kind of weird not to pray

my daughter shannon is 20 weeks pregnant.

the placenta is pulling loose and she has some bleeding.

the doc seems confidant that both she and the baby will be fine.she found out this week that it is a boy.
