(((((((((TJ)))))))))), what a sad and horrifying story. I am so sorry you had to grow up enduring that horrific abuse. I am wondering how you survived it at all, let alone grew up to be a wonderful man, husband, and father. I hope, as someone else has already said, that telling your story here has somehow contributed to your healing. I shudder to think the psychologist is right in thinking there is something else that you have blocked out. I certainly hope not. I am also sorry for your brothers and sisters. I am glad you have each other and hope they all get out of the organization, if there are any still in. I was wondering what happened to your real mom, too.

My story: "Pop!" goes the Little Circuit Breaker
by TJ - iAmCleared2Land ini guess it's about time i write my story.
i've put this off for a long time... primarily becuase, while i thought my story was bad, i've read so many worse and heart-rending stories here.
i think, though, there is some therapeutic value in 'letting it all out' with others who know what 'it' was like.

Wow! Very nice piece. I hope that if this applies to anyone reading it, that they realize it's not too late, and that they try to fix it before they die.

My daughter is in the hospital .......... it's kind of weird not to pray

the placenta is pulling loose and she has some bleeding.
the doc seems confidant that both she and the baby will be fine.she found out this week that it is a boy.

A+W, I hope everything works out ok. Your sister is a good resource. The hardest thing, probably, will be getting your daughter to stay on bedrest. As a mom, that will be hard for her, I bet.

I loved Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys. I read all of them at the library. I also read a couple of Cherry Ames and The Bobbsie (?sp) twins books. They were earlier than Nancy Drew and were at the library.

((((((((((A+W)))))))))), the doctor is optimistic. That's very good. Your daughter's in the best place right now. They'll take good care of her and her baby. You're in my thoughts.

For all you New England folks...Ghosts anyone?
by dawg ini love new england... i always used to read nathaniel hawthorne on the front portch of my house in georgia when i was a kid and think that many of his characters were like jw's..... there's a place near the cape, called buzzard's bay, i used to sit there for hours eating "steamers" and drinking beer, and on the cape, what a beautiful place.... i love the southland, and will always live here, but i miss new england... .
the "hawthorne hotel" in salem, mass.
that was like a home to me, i'd walk in the door and they'd always say, "hello mr. huff"... i'd get drunk at the local pub and be out there at the cemetery in the middle of town taking ghost photos at 12am.

Ok. I'll elaborate. I was 14 when my uncle died. He was my favorite uncle. He had gone into the hospital for back surgery and died from a pulmonary embolism a day or so after the surgery. He was in his early 40's...way too young to die. I saw him the day of his funeral. He was in the doorway of my bedroom. He did not speak, but looked extremely angry. He just stood in the doorway for a minute and then left. Years later I spoke to my cousin Stephen about it. We grew up across the street from each other. He said he had seen Uncle Jack on the day of his funeral, too, that Uncle Jack had spoken to him and asked him where everybody was. My cousin said they are all at your funeral. He said Uncle Jack got mad and left. The same day my sister was babysitting at my father's cousin's house 2 doors down from Stephen's house and diagonally across the street from our house. She said she saw Uncle Jack cross the street and walk up the steps into our house.
When I was a candystriper (13 yrs old) I was working with a woman transporting patients to and from xray. We both saw the elevator door closing as we approached it. She yelled out, "hold that elevator" and an arm came out, the door hit the arm and then when the door opened, there was no one in the elevator. It was freaky.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL.

I love the Hawthorne Hotel, used to go there on Sat nights a few years ago. I have seen two ghosts in my life. One was my uncle who died suddenly. It was the day of his funeral and he was very angry. My cousin across the street saw him and my sister who was babysitting 2 houses down saw him the same day as well. The other experience was at Union Hospital in Lynn when I was a candy striper. Both experiences were very freaky.

Yesterday my father informed me that he will shun me...
by nvrgnbk inbut only if a judicial committee tells him to.. if they say i'm inactive and let me be, he can still talk to me.. it's meaningless, because i would never meet with a jc, but he let me know where he stands.. he's dead to me.. i'm not hurting.. lost tons of respect for the man.. i told him he was brainwashed and left him without saying goodbye.. to no longer live for his approval was liberating, but this is even better.. i told him that i couldn't do that to my son.. his response?.
unconditional love is a lie.. you only get unconditional love from a dog.. sick, brainwashed, emotionally bankrupt man.. p.s.- not looking for cyber hugs.
just sharing the experience for others going through similar things and for lurkers to see what this cult does to people.. regards,.

So sorry, Nvr. It's sad that they really think they are doing a loving and right thing. They can't see how UNloving and wrong it is to shun their own flesh and blood.
