My experience was bad, bad, bad! I never had a wholesome feeling! I always felt I was chasing a carrot! Never fully accepted as part of their group! Felt very odd - like tryng to compete swimming freestyle when I love playing football! I really could never do it and shouldn't have!

Culture wise I think those who have a few generations 'in it' look out for each other far more than they do new JW's. I've seen it!

For newcomers it's a zeroculture!

A culture in the next life that you may never get to!

Living a void!

That's how it felt/feels which is sooooooooooo saaaaaaaaad!

Natural history programmes teach us much about planet Earth and the variety of speceis on it. Enlightening to say the least! I can't ever recall seeing anything which remotely comes close respecting the spirit world. Doctorates or not - with all the scientific know how available it still can't be shown to Billions now living that they exist. Only a few hundred years ago the flat Earth idea was wrapped up in religious belief! Is it fair to expect humans to believe in things beyond what we can reasonably be expected to observe? The historical catalogue of our species deception of millions of people in past generations for their whole lives is substantial? That alone should make it obvious that any person should scrutinise their own beliefs and not cast aside reason, lest they fall into the same trap as many who've gone before us!

How does Aloe Vera go as regards tattoos - does anyone know? Reason I ask is I believe its the only product hospitals allow on childrens burns - must be 100% though.

only ask coz thought i'd found the one, and (partly coz of my irractic behavior) we have finished) tho i dont think he was the one anyway i drove everywhere paid for most things, he lives at home etc..... so why do i feel so upset?

Human matching is more complex when your lives have spent years in very different infrastructures. Even sincere partner seekers will bail out if they start to feel a lack of connection. Being in the JWO, or a long term partner to one who is, leaves you with a void others likely won't have!

Some individuals feel the whole ethos of possessing a partner is destructive and so any partner they have will be open minded to free intimacies with groups they associate with, in the knowledge that when they stick together it is out of a connecting of personas and freedom of expression of each others desires.

So you see the world is a plethora of prospective partners and knowing who you are will help you in communicating this to those you may be attracted to, but whether you'll succeed is an unknown for all of us - which is why so many people default to fun and sex as short term, less complicated ways of enjoying what/who you are as a human being so as to avoid 'saving myself for the right one' with the risk of complete failure at the end of a lonely life!

Why can't he let himself be happy?

i'm in love with a man who is a witness.

i am a pretty inactive protestant, meaning my parents were only able to drag me to church twice a year on christmas eve and easter morning.

he told me early into our relationship that he wanted to marry me and spend the rest of his life with me, and that he has never felt the love for anyone else like he does for me.

You're a lovely person!

This is my take on what might be going on, but I don't know either of you so it's pure fiction really!!!

He knows you are - and he knows he is - in his heart but he's plagued by hauntings from the doctrines still clinging to his emotions which make him feel worthless and a complete failure. They'll kick in at times and he'll uphold them with confusion, frustration and anger because he'll think that maybe he should go back into a faith he can never really identify with anymore. Both emotions running in parallel, in CONFLICT and tearing at whatever person he's trying to build out of who now he is / has been! He doesn't know what he stands for anymore and so can't present himself in a relationship as a whole person. He will know that he can't love you unconditionally and so he'll feel guilty that he's using you. He needs a loving, sexual friend who'll move on or better still just remain friends and encourage him if he ever finds true love to go after it - when he's finally come to terms with himself. A guardian angel - of sorts - but not a wife -he's not ready and if he thinks that' s your hope it will freak him!

Unbelievable really - bet you can't believe it!

If you're good together maybe you can chip the cemented rules and regulations away from his emotion and his heart. But to do that he's gonna have to come along with you and he's already convinced an all powerful creator is watching his every IDEA let alone what he does. How can you tell a person their God doesn't exist! His image of his God is so intense to him that he has lost the power of his own reason. Any errors he makes will completely ensnare his soul into making more errors - more especially when he feels the eye of Horus upon his every step. His emotions are in CONFLICT with his very being! Good luck - you'll need it coz I'm not sure love is enough.

I wonder if any ex JW's know of any effective loving/caring rescue strategies for severely troubled souls ensnared with doctrine - or is it a long road to ruin before arriving at where some of us are at?

I think I did a really bad thing.

i do not attend the same hall as my boyfriend because he is currently reproved for being involved with me.

i'm not a witness.

he confessed to his elders that he had sex with someone outside of marriage after his second divorce was already final.

Just got the full gist from all the posts -my last one was premature - This guy you're with is in too deep for his own good and therefore the both of you. His mind is so full of information which is cemented in to his emotion that he's lost within himself. He really doesn't see things from your perspective - apart from in fits and starts. You can see he's haunted by his own biology. His mind has been put in complete CONFLICT with who he is as a human being. Best thing he could do is come with you and let you do the leading! Other than that I can't say -just my personal experience giving in depth wisdom respecting the CONFLICTS you're already revisiting. If it's gonna work you should both be dissolving them and building a life for each other and YOUR FUTURE IN THIS SHORT LIFE!
