Yes, and the future is so near thev'e never stopped investing in Wall Street because they want a better future in the soon coming Armaggeddon. Jehovah somehow will protect their investments in the Stock Market when Armaggeddon comes.

WT Contradiction - Are the other sheep sons of God?

many are familiar with the countless flip flops and contradictions that can be found in the wt publications of the past (for numerous examples of this see http://quotes.jehovahswitnesses.com).

however, in reading through the jan 15 and feb 15 wt study articles i believe i have found a "modern day" example of a wts contradictory statement.

it pertains to the status of the "other sheep" as sons of god.. __________.

Tribute to Mr. Rogers

how many of us can remember how mr. rogers was such was so much a part of not only our own childhood but our children's childhood.

how i remember as a teenager coming home from work and seeing my little sister watching mr. rogers.

and then after having my own children in my 20's sittng with them on the floor singinging along "it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood,,,,,,won't you be mine won't you be mine, won't you be my nieghbor.

on what basis do they make their interpretation of it meaning basically not to get a higher education or inquire into things?

They want to make their followers feel smarter than those who waste their time in higher education. In return for blindly following the witchtower, they will live in someone's house after Armaggeddon, or go to heaven if you are one of the limited-space 144,000 condominiums there.

Jesus temptatation by Satan...a JW conumdrum

some liberal christians view the charachter of satan as being a symbol for the evil within humans which tempts us all.

the jws will often point to jesus being tempted by satan as being proof that this is an unreasonable explanation since "jesus was perfect and he could not have evil thoughts in him.

" now this raises a conumdrum for a similar, but related matter.. just what can a perfect person do or not do when it comes to "sinful" thoughts?

Jesus spoke of his own will, and voluntarily submitted himself to his Father's will

Ok, but if you submit your will to another's will, then you cease to have free will from that point on.

Just like when you baptize into the Borg. You cease to have your will because you must do as they tell you.
