well, it just sort of came to me while i was driving.. the doctrine of new light is a false analogy.. why had i not considered this before?.

here is what i'm thinking; see if you don't agree.... jehovah's witnesses are divided into three distinct tiers of membership.. 1.governing body anointed.

2.clueless anointed.

i just got off the phone with my sister-in-law.

we don't talk regularly at all - but today the discussion turned to our beliefs.

she's da'd herself 15 years ago, but she is still filled with guilt over not being able to live up to the standards of the witnesses.

i've been inspired by v's watchtower comments, so i'm going to do the same with books and brochures.

i was never a witness, i joined this site after my wife started studying with them, and i got upset over some of the things that resulted from that.

however, i grew up in a similar high-control group called the worldwide church of god.

much like the witnesses, in the mid 70s ( i forget the exact year, i was only in elementary school in those days, but it may have been 75, just like jws), there was a big push toward the end being at hand, the great tribulation is coming, etc etc.

some of you are such talented writers.... .

imagine a wt article full of loaded language describing first how no one is above truth and justice and that even if jehovah were to fail in that area, action would have to be taken.

then a quick breakdown on how jehovah has failed to come through on his promises - concerning date prophesies.
