i know that there are some posts in the old h20 and elsewhere in the net about the peculiar words/phrases used by the wt as an example of loaded language in robert j lifton's research.

i found something by jan groenveld (may she rest in peace), who gave me a lot of support in the early years when i left the borg nine years ago at http://watchtower.observer.org/apps/pbcs.dll/article?aid=/20030801/jwandmedicine5/204017 .

i decided to start a language interpreter and beliefs of jws for non-xjws.

What I have learned about Rolf Furuli

on a recent thread about the year of the destruction of jerusalem, i learned from "scholar" about rolf furuli.. i looked up his name in google, and came with a few interesting links.

all i can say is that i am glad there aren't too many witnesses going to universities, especially those claiming to be researchers.

first they must take their blinds off.. a review of rolf furuli's book "the role of theology and bias in bible translation".

hard as i tried, i could not find any reference to baptism in the ot (old testament to christians, hebrew scriptures to jovah's witless).. i know that previous to john the baptist, many religions, mysteries and cults baptized their initiates mostly either in blood, or in water.

never the jews at that time or now.

for the remision of sins, they just sent a goat to the desert.. jesus did not obviously start the baptism thing.
