I used to think that the world was getting a good" witness" also when newspapers were sold outside conventions,it wasn`t till years later I learned they were only special editions that were ONLY SOLD at convention sites LOL

If Jesus was approved by GOD as his son why is their so little written about what he said ?...Why didn`t he put pen to paper all that he said? If he was the greatest man who ever lived ?
by smiddy inwhat prompted me to pose this question, i read a piece of trivia that said: in the old testament their are 593,000 words approx.
in the new testament their are 181,000 words approx.if the sayings of jesus were so important to mankind /salvation, and such why were not all of his sayings recorded for prosperity ?
isn`t it written somewhere in scripture that not all of his sayings were written down because all of his sayings would fill volumes ?.

My wife & 2 children attended the "International Assembly"in Melbourne Aust.in 1963 I think it was a 6 day cnvention,so long ago.We had the bumper bar stickers advetising the convention,and I remember a photo in the local paper "The Herald"which showed a smashed up car wreck with the bumper sticker clearly visible.I cant remember how the occupants fared though
Calling it an" International Assembly" brought a lot of critiscm their were very few delegates from overseas
I took a photo of an ABC journalist who was interveiwing some delegates for his tv show,offhand I cant remember his name or the shows name

Apparently they couldnt have been very important if GOD didn`t see fit to preserve his words. 593,000 words in the old testament,most of which would have been obsolete with the arrival of jesus,and only 181,000 words ,very few of jesus actual words, in the new testament !!
Then again, if he did actually speak volumes of wisdom to those people who heard him ?: ,then whats the point ? they all died with that information and nobody benefits from his counsel/instruction ?
Then again if he was the son of GOD and he was a perfect human being ,why wouldnt HE record ALL his words of wisdom for all humanity to benefit from,and not just leave it up to imperfect humans to record a fraction of what he was supposed to have said,and argued and debated these interpretations for the past 2000 years ?

,being here is like getting a" university degree with honours"the amount of information( factual info) thats availabe is outstanding
And when I was in ,it was discouraged to add anything not in the paragrah of the wt; obviously they wouldnt know if what you were saying was sanctioned by the organization or not.

ex-witness to atheist
by Itsallwrong inhey all i was a witness most of my life in the lansing area of michigan.
i've glanced at online communities like this before but mostly shyed away from them because after leaving the organization i became an atheist.
i'm not ashamed of it by any means, but these forums and websites seem to be mostly filled with folks who are still religious but just don't agree with the governing body's methods.

I went from ,being a nominal but not a practicing christian, to being converted to the jw religion, to now being what I consider to be an atheist,That is I dont beleive in the bible,I dont beleive any religion christian or otherwise has the answers
I do beleive religion, like politics, is designed to have control over the populace
And I cant beleive that we are the only 'intelligent'"beings given the size of the universe
Thats just my take

I think the lawyers for the WTB&TS Vin Toole & Associates,all jehovahs witnesses I beleive have seriously under-estimated the calibre of steven unthank and his ability to proceed with these charges
I take my hat off to steven for persisting in this endeavour,it certainly is a "david taking on goliath"
I think it is also an indictment of the victorian police and govt. agencies that failed in their duties to make sure" all" religous institutions complied with the law,allowing the WTB&TS to snub their nose at this law for 3 years is pathetic,shame on them .
