  I think I just broke the tele-market man

  well, today is one of those procrastinatey days, i'm at home alone with the cat who is dazzling me with her new tricks.

  so i got pretty excited when the tele-marketer man called to discuss a new and fantastic mobile phone deal.

  i managed to keep him on the phone for 32 minutes as i explained to him that i could only use a blue telephone due to a specific type of colour blindness that i have....which i do not have.... turns out they just don't make blue phones.

  When I get a call, I just ask if they can hold on a minute. Then I put the phone down and walk away. They usually hang up after 10 minutes or so.

  I used to be a telemarketer. Worst. Job. Ever.

  Can you get disfellowshipped for anything?

  cant the elders make it so that any deviation or any thought could be considered "loose conduct" and therefore a disfellowshipping offense?

  If they were really strict about it, I'd be willing to bet 99% of JWs could be d/fed for any number of reasons. Most just aren't caught.

  he recently bought his own home.

  I used to chaperone my sister and her boyfriend (now husband) all the time. I was 16 at the time, she was 25. I always left them alone, because chaperoning was boring. I would just go into my bedroom to read or watch TV or whatever and leave them in the living room. My sister told me I was the best chaperone ever lol.

  When I was dating my ex-husband, my mother let us go out alone quite a bit, which is weird since she's a very strict JW.

  I was never warned against since I was invisible. Yes, I was a bad little JW, but no one cared enough about to me to delve into my personal life.

  I Had a Great 4th of July & Hope Everyone Else Did Too!

  i haven't posted on jwd for the past 4 or 5 days until tonight, because i've been busy.

  had to spend a few days before the 4th getting ready for the big party, and it turned out really nice.

  the weather was cool, and it didn't rain.

  It was fantastic! Went to an awesome BBQ, rode my bike a TON and my boyfriend and I started packing up his stuff since he's moving in with me in the next couple of weeks. Yay!

  I was pretty much a nobody. Became a publisher at 14, baptized at 16. Stopped giving talks and going out in FS around 18. Just sat there like a lump for another 7 years before finally saying "F this crap" and taking off for good.

  i heard some silly thing and did a little research on it.

  turns out, if your spouse committs adultery, you are free to remarry (we all know this one).... .

  but, did you know, that according to the watchtower, that if you, even so much as commit fornication (play with their genitals) with your spouse again before the divorce is finalized that you have thus symbolized that you have forgiven them and that you no longer have scriptural grounds to divorce them?

  Yes, I knew that. My ex was with someone after we had separated. He and I had gotten back together, therefore I guess I "forgave" at that point, whatever. It doesn't really matter since he ended up going back to that other woman again. Maybe my "forgiveness" was voided then lol.
