as i sat quietly in my apartment...staring at the computer screen, i got this overwhelming feeling of being totally alone.
don't get me wrong, i feel comfortable alone.
but, how did i end up this way?
Sirona - You are no social misfit now, that was quite a houseful of friends last week. Or, if that is being a social misfit - where do I sign up? I aspire to that sort of misfittery!
isnt he just the cutest?
these were taken at joy2bfree and jst2laws's place.
he can be such a ham.
Wow. He is a sweetie!

HA! Fe2O3 "Childlike Complexion" Girl. I like it! But how do they know?
My real name comes out "Kids Incorporated, and my maiden name is "Chimpy Nuts"

Afraid not. I was an only child, but I did not grow up in a bubble!
When I first left the bOrg, I only had a couple of friends on the outside, and sometimes I did daft things like going to the pub on my own and getting hammered (sad lonely drunk!).
As far as close friends go, I have formed friendships since I left 8 years ago that are loyal and strong - and fun!
So I generaly recommend socializing, its healthy. Join a club, project, cause, university class, job, etc., and you'll instantly get friendships happening. Treat people well.
This is excellent advice. I particularly like the comment "Treat people well". You may find that you will be able to help and support people as well as them helping you.
On the general social side, I don't have a problem with large or small groups of people, or one to one. I can get on with all age groups and backgrounds. Hmmm, wonder where on earth I learnt to do that.........
some people need to be surrounded with"friends" to make themselves feel good.others love their independence and prefer to be away from others.
what type of person are you?
or do you tend to be away from the action?
Touchy feely kissy squeezy huggy People person. MMMmmwwwwwaaaah!
just a thought about how the wts handles baptisms .... it's strange isn't it that they pay such minute attention to detail for the actual baptism itself - someone scrutinises the whole event and should anyone's big toe sticks out the water then they get dunked again.. why?.
do they think getting completely covered is some magical spiritual thing?.
do they suppose that god wouldn't accept it if someone unnoticed didn't go under completely?.
I was told my JW baptism did not count as a Christian baptism, marking my entry into the Christian congregation, because JWs do not baptise in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Seemed reasonable to me.
so i couldn't resist posting this as a third year college student... ever notice how like, 99% of the congregation could barely write their own name, let alone give a public talk?
yeah, yeah it's really smart to drop out to pioneer in high school, lmao, i think it really sets a great example for jehovah when a person can't even complete a basic english assignment because they dropped out of hs to pursue spiritual goals.
heh heh.
Is this the reason for Christains, congergations, annoited, concious, athiest and so on? Despite all those hours staring at WT publications, the correct spellings did not sink in.
No, how stupid of me! We weren't READING, we were daydreaming, doodling, looking out of the window, passing notes to our friends, or in my case, picking my fingernails.
I assume I was disfellowshipped for fornication; I never met with the elders so I don't know. Of course, there are no rules against hitting your wife, so my ex was OK on that score. It does not really matter why you were disfellowshipped.
Being disfellowshipped was the best thing that could have happened to me. It enabled me to move on. Still, it is a long road from being physically free of the Watchtower to being mentally and spiritually free. This means looking around you with honest eyes, not through Watchtower blinkers.
Understand: The world is no worse in general than it has ever been. The "End" is no closer than it was in 1874, or 1914, or...........
Have you had any councelling since you left the JWs? It could help you.
(((((((((placebo)))))))))) Best wishes to you.
i thought it would be fun to do this.
anybody can post a lyric from a recorded song.
we have 5 "post-chances" to guess the song.
It is "On the Street Where You Live". Is it from "Gigi"?
"I expect every one of my crowd to make fun of my proud protestations of faith in romance......"
