If the first commandment is to love God with every fiber of our being, we would first have to identify God, find God, develop relationship with God, and then fall in love with God. And then, it would have to be a reciprocal relationship, and one that is unconditional.

Really, what was Jesus trying to say? How do you love a silent god who never shows himself? How do you love a monster that would cut someone off for all eternity, just because he felt you didn't try hard enough? You didn't worship him enough?

Jesus said to look within. He said you were the temple. It's your intuition. It's your true self. It's not the piece of ourselves that acts like an idiot, that makes mistakes, that causes suffering because of the decisions it makes. It's the part that drove us into the Watchtower trap: the love of the Creator, the desire to find him. Then they take that love and mold it into fear. They drill "undeserved kindness" into your head. Add to that the basic Christian falsehood that we are born sinners, and we never had a chance of living up to Jehovah's Pharisee expectations.
We have to love ourselves before we can love others. That is the first commandment. 'Ye are gods', said the Master.

when we go outside on a cloudless day... we all seem to ignore the giant burning ball in the sky.. think about it.. the sun truly is the bringer of all earthen life; without it's effects we would all perish.

Great thread Sab. The sun being "dead" for 3 days on the "Southern Cross" constellation is the basis of Christianity. No matter how much Christians will protest it, they are what they despise: sun worshipers.
Have you ever looked into Atenism? It was solar worship and apparently the oldest known monotheistic religion. It can be traced back to Egypt more than 4,000 years ago.
My research led me to the conclusion that the stars are hooked up in series like Christmas lights, and that the sun gets its energy from Sirius. But David Wilcock and others describe the sun, not as an isolated fireball, but as a hole in the aether that lets some of the energy though, like a pinhole that lets water stream slowly out of a water balloon. In the process, it is an interdimensional transformer that converts the energy to a form that we can use.

There isn't much in the Bible that is original and cannot be traced to or shown to be along the same lines of thought as older writings. Why then, is it treated as something special, or worse, an an idol?
All the major religions had their origins in "truth". Each and every one of them has an esoteric and an exoteric doctrine. The initiates and sometimes even the priesthood get the good stuff while the goyim are fed the nonsense. The illustrations are literalized and they completely lose their meaning and informational value. At the base of every major religion is the truth of the sun, moon and stars and their influence on our affairs. The truth of the male and female energies and their influence on our affairs. The truth of "do unto others" that has already been pointed out.
Jesus said the whole law could be summed up in the first two commandments. After that, you can throw everything else out, none of it matters, and he is in agreement with everyone else. The religions have much more in common than we have been led to believe.
