reread your bible- pro lifers seem pro life 'till you are born. Then.....hang 'em high.

You cannot be serious.

I am pro life, because the right to life supercedes any right to privacy or property.

If we are OK with ending life because it is not convenient, or unwanted, or 'not viably independent' then euthanasia of the elderly or disabled cannot be far off.

There can be no question that the fetus is life, this has been firmly and scientifically established.

I am pro death penalty for those who have forfeited their life by violent crime, because it serves as a valuable deterrent and also removes the violent criminal from society.

If you refuse to see the difference, then shame on you.

And the reason we cannot just say, 'oh well, we disagree' is that this is IMPORTANT.

Would you be ok with agreeing to disagree about euthanizing a disabled child?

I am truly sorry for those that cannot see that this issue uses politics and polemics to complicate an issue as simple as life and death.

Wrong is wrong, life is life.

i would like some advice from any of you that have been there - a good friend of mine had an affair years ago, ended up working with the same guy and is now in love with her boyfriend instead of her husband ( several kids involved) the affair is now not a physical one but there is no doubt they are dating.

i wish i was unaware but i am - she says she has picked her family over the boyfriend but he is like a bumble bee around her- walking her dog past her house etc the boyfriend is older, married and has always been a tomcat - now he is truly in love and will wait.

i have told her it is going to blow up - and i know it is her deal to figure out - but i am from the happily married class and am at a loss.

Staying faithful is like carrying a gun for defense.

It's all about situational awareness, avoiding dangerous situations and getting out of risky situations you blunder into before anybody gets hurt.

Unfaithfulness begins long before anybody begins shedding clothes, it develops when we allow feelings for another to grow within us, nurture them, begin growing cold towards our spouse...

If one is aware, they can stay loyal, in that way it's a decision.

If they are like most folks, blissfully unaware of anything going on around them, the emotions are upon them before they are even aware there was a choice to be made.

They wandered into a dark alley where a gang hangs out.

Side note, people really ARE blissfully unaware of their surroundings, I openly and obviously carry a gun everywhere I go, and I can tell who notices, most really don't. I was even wearing a big frigging hogleg in a shoulder rig all over town one weekend to see if folks would notice, nothing. Nada.

I asked one fellow I was more than passingly acquainted with if it were somehow not obvious and he was like, Oh! My! I didn't see that! I thought you were wearing a backpack!

Priceless.

Poor Excuse for an Apostate

when i tell anyone i am considered an apostate, they usually think i'm joking and fall over laughing.

after thinking about it, i can understand why.

my lifestyle would prompt a farmyard chicken to take up another interest.

Well, I kinda wallow in the whole 'apostate' thing.

Got a girlfriend I'm not actually married to that I live with, we own a big house, a big truck, a big boat and a mini van and have lots and lots of sex.

I put all my field service time to better use building PC's and making $, evil greedy money the WTS sets so much store by.

I helped my GF through a four-year degree instead of delivering her over to the miond drones to be 'taught by the counterfeit slave'.

I got a hellova beard, a scraggly ponytail, I think the two ear piercings are still good, I should poke em thru again and see.

I carry a full-sized Beretta Model 96 in .40S&W and usually have a shotgun close to hand, My very presence has been known to make the dubbies tremble.

I read what I want, talk to whomsoever I please, look at whatever I want, and do not gladly suffer fools.

I am so Aposterrific I have been shunned by the df'ed and non JW parts of my own family! (speaking of fools...)

On the plus side, I am in a committed relationship, have raised me daughter wonderfully, learned a trade, made some ching, and got off assistance.

Now people lean on ME for help!

I'm fairly happy with what I found when I set out to find 'me'

nope, absolutely not.

We did net detective and it was lousy. just about anything we REALLY wanted to find, had instructions how to go to the courthouse and get it, for a fee. only with some cause. which we didn't have.

Then they signed us up for the advanced without us wanting them to and began hitting our card on a monthly basis.

I got it all stopped/reveresed, but I shouldn't have HAD to.

Have you changed your mind about ABORTION?

i'm not after a discussion on the rights or wrongs on abortion, what i'm asking is whether or not your views have evolved over time.. perhaps leaving the watchtower was enough to allow your true feelings on abortion to find expression.

maybe abortion is one of those subjects where you still find yourself in agreement with your old jw self.

did becoming a mother change your perspective in any way or solidify your views?.

California Wildfires = The end?

i just got a call from my jw mom asking if i was watching the news.. i'm like, "no, what's up?".

i'm imagining something must really be up, like we invaded some more countries or mushroom clouds over american cities, or maybe somebody famous did something horrible in public, or something.. she tells me 'half of california is burning.'.

i'm like "yeah, it's been doing that for a while now.".

'Yeah, but not like this, This is a sign of the end, I tell you!'

"It's NOT, this is complete nonsense! You can't keep thinking everything that happens is the end!'

"Well, if it is, we'll see"

"It's NOT, it's logically fallacious! And, it's plain silly!"

"Well, ok lets not talk about it then."

Just amazing, they will grasp at any straw of validation for their demented worldview. The conversational way she presented this along with the info that she had been talking about it with my sister gives me an idea hoe their convo went, feeding each other cues and nodding, yup, it's the end.

Gag, Barf.

It must be nice to be so certain, so smug... Too bad it goes hand-in-hand with being so wrong
