Zack i beg to differ. i agree that they don't have a life saving work but i don't agree that they know that and are all just counting their time. I would say MOST are but not all. when i was pioneering i really and honestly thought i had the truth and truly loved talking about it thinking i was doing these people good. i know now i was stupid and wrong but that doesn't mean that i wasn't honest about it.

If JW's message is so urgent and Armageddon is imminent..
by PopeOfEruke inthen why do the walk so slow when out in field service?????????.
honestly, i saw some dubs out witnessing yesterday and they have invented the "worlds most incredible slow walk".
it makes a glacier look like a speeding avalanche.

they do that because no matter what they say it's uncomfortable to them to go to a strangers door and talk to them about the Bible. It's sad...

Went to a party last night...feel guilty this morning
by neverendingjourney ini went to a party last night.
it was relatively tame.
there were maybe forty people there.

what you need to do is go to an insane party don't hold anything back and do what you want. drink way too much, smoke whatever you want, and party like a rockstar the next day you'll be hung over and you'll be in too much pain to focus on the guilt. it will go away eventually.

my hubby bought me a book yesterday called "Zen and the Art of Happiness" by Chris Prentiss when i got home from work i started reading and i couldn't put it down. i read the whole thing and i have to say i am much MUCH more interested in meditating now. i tried it last night sitting still with my back straight and focusing on my breathing but i can't seem to keep my mind off other things. and the book said if you find that you mind is wandering gently bring it back to your breathing. i can't seem to do it though and my back started to hurt a little so i couldn't stay focused. but i am definately going to continue to try. that book kind of gave me this peace that i didn't have before. it was strange. It was an entirely different way to look at life. any suggestions for a beginner?

that's a good idea! everyone should come down for mardi gras! lol but for real that would be a great idea to have a international meet up... get together... it would be like an international convention. lol

Why is the attendance numbers taken twice during the meetings?
by JH inthe watchtower wants to know just about everything and the attendance at meetings is one of them.. do they count how many people are at the hall a second time, just to know if anyone slipped out un noticed ?.

for real mad tiger! I just don't get why people have to be like that. even when i was the zealous young pioneer sister that i was i thought it was wrong to sit there and gossip about the people who were late for the meetings or who weren't there for the watchtower discussion. i knew a sister that was late every single meeting and people would say all sorts of mean things about her but what they didn't know was she had an abusive husband and a bratty 12 yr old girl that kicked and screamed everytime she would try to get her to go to the meetings which made her late. i think people are so bored with their own lives they have to focus on others. i agree with mad tiger : leave people alone!

It cracks me up now thinking of all the dirty looks i would get if i had to leave during the "half time" song. if someone didn't stay for the 2nd meeting, afterward everyone would sit around asking about them and gossiping. oh, what a loving brotherhood. lol they also count the people listening over the phones. did your congregations have that?
