  Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions regarding "attention seekers"?

  we all love it when people pay attention to us or our opinions.

  but what i am talking about is people who crave and force attention from others.

  not just people who talk a lot, but those that force everyone around them to focus on them and them only.. in one of my classes there is a woman who raises her hand to ask a question, but never really has a question to ask.

  This site is extremely Biased against witnesses your threads are a classic example of feeding this anti-witness agenda, often baiting thread to draw out megative viewpoints only but I wouldn't be on here if the site didn't call itself Jw.net so many people find it by accident and in their innocence believe the lies and half-truths twisted to suit apostate ends. If in a small way I can make someone sit back and realise the apostate agenda on here for what it is. then I consider I have done a good Job.

  Reniaa, this site was started was because Simon had questions that he couldn't find answers for at the KH. Whether you like, believe it or not, there are real people on here with real problems caused by your wonderful Watchtower TM society that you're so quick to defend before you even know what the person's argument (or situation) is.

  Is The MJ Situation Damaging to the WTS

  with so many articles and news stories on-line regarding michael jackson, his involvement with the jws and now his children being taken to the kingdom hall, will this damage the reputation of the watch tower society?

  many of these articles have comments from exjws telling the truth about 'the truth', plus google searches are throwing people onto freeminds..

  I don't think it will make much of a difference for the hard core JW's already in... but I do believe it will make their recruitment efforts that much more difficult. The spike of traffic to the Freeminds site being just one of the examples... people are going to get a much broader picture of the JW's... imagine calling on the door of someone who didn't know much about them before they stumbled onto a site such as Freeminds (or this one) and the questions that householder will have.

  any ideas on cleaning suit jackets?

  i wear a suit jacket or blazer 365 days a year, currently rotating 16 jackets.. i am allergic to tobacco and perfumes and various household cleaners.. any suggestions as to how i can clean them myself, without the hazards of going to a drycleaner?.

  To quote another YouTuber recently... " I guess "shunning" only applies when it comes to being a friend or helping someone. You're still allowed to insult and offend them."

  The comments (on YouTube) I've seen from active witnesses are appalling to say the least... there's quite a few who seem to see it their duty to harass and make quite insulting remarks to ex-jw's (and as Shazoolo points out in the video) label anyone who questions the Watchtower TM Society as an apostate whether that person is an ex-jw or not.

  Realise that's slightly off topic... getting back to the question at hand... Reniaa, what are you doing here? You know the majority of us here are ex-jw's. You know when you start getting out your little taken-out-of-context scriptures we've heard all that before and rejected it. You also know that it's against your own religions rules for you to even be here in the first place. So why are you here, hijacking just about any topic that contains views that oppose those of the Watchtower?

  The First Nice Guy I Ever Met...

  died suddenly this morning of a heart attack.

  he was only 58 and had lost enough weight to cause his doctor to take him off of medications for high blood pressure and cholesterol.

  he was married to my dear aunt, and i feel so badly for her and their 6 kids.

  Times *I've* confronted people (strangers) for being rude...

  here are two instances where i had had enough and confronted people when they were being rude.

  was i over the top??

  instance 1.. i was at the supermarket and there was a group of kids (~17-19 years old), wanna-be hoodlums, hangin out in the produce section and two or so of them were eating sunflower seeds and spiting them on the floor.. i said in a loud voice (i was ~10 ft away) "hey- are you throwing shit on the floor?!

  I think my biggest pet peeve while working in customer service was the supermarket I worked night shift at. When a customer has 3 items or less, it is company policy to not offer the customer a plastic bag, unless they ask for it. Every register had a sign explaining this policy but some nights just about every second customer would lean over the counter and grab a plastic bag for themselves (usually when your back is turned to them and you have the cash drawer open, they'd also grab the bag from the rack closest to you which meant their hand was within 2 inches of an open drawer) then proceed to tell me it's my job to offer them a plastic bag. Then I'd politely read the sign to them.
