Does China Disprove Bible Prophecy?
by metatron inchina is rapidly emerging as second only to the us.
it's growth rates may allow it to pass the us.
yet, interpretations of daniel and revelation say nothing about this, at least.

That's "old light".
Which light are we using now? It's hard to keep track...
I find the China situation confusing, don't think the WTS was prepared for them to come up in such a strong force as they are. If Bush gets indicted, how does that fit? Out Prime Minister is pretty much out, he's accepting that & largely to do with his strong alliance with Bush. Blair is out, none of that seems to fit with the Dubs although I'm sure they'll find a way to make them fit.

Went to visit the EX
by anewme ini have been dfd and divorced from the ex for six years now.
i have remarried and been living in a idyllic cabin by a year round creek all this time but i might have to move.
so i have been going through all my stuff and discarding what i can to lighten my moving load and reviewing every item, every picture, every little piece of paper.

Beautiful story. Let's hope your ex starts thinking....

I want a hut and a rock for a washing board. Mrs. Grizzly Adams...
by Sparkplug inso to top off my wonderful set of horrible happenings as of late...my washer was broke.
so after a couple of weeks i put off going down the street and borrowing an unused one from a friends garage.
i was told it was buried and hard to get out, so i took a bit of time tackling the job.

Were you a non-spiritual JW?
by moshe ini sure tried to act spiritual in the beginning of my jw life.
i could go through the motions of being a good jw, but i just never could get turned on with being spiritual.i gave great talks and when i was an elder i could fill in for a no-show and never miss a beat.
however, my wife at the time always complained that we didn't do the family study or study the wt lesson ahead of time.

Yes, I tried to be spiritual but it did not feel right. I always looked at the ones who were spiritual in the WTS sense & thought they were on drugs (looking back now, they probably were).

What Was Your Social Life Like As A Witness?
by minimus inmy (ex)wife and i asssociated with a few other couples and was considered "popular".
how was your social life?
did you have much of one?
-
brinjen
I was an outcast in my congregation, I was in a single parent family as my mother never married so we were considered 'spiritually weak' because of this. As a rule, the elders also discouraged witnesses socialising with each other too much as this created the perfect atmosphere for gossip (unless you were related to one of the elders then you could socialise all you wanted).

OMG they even have puzzles!
Love the puzzle on things you need to follow christ, where you draw a square around the things you should use moderately such as a letterbox, ambulance etc, draw and X through the things you don't need at all (NWT perhaps?).
The personality quiz, is that supposed to be taken seriously? My theme song 'We're Jehovah's Witnesses', yeah I can see dub kids right around the globe downloading that tune to their iPods, love their attempts to look cool 'Material Girl' is more than 20 years old. 'I'm With The In Crowd' don't worry WTS, I can assure you your juniors would definitely NOT be part of the 'in' crowd (or any other crowd for that matter).
I thought nothing would ever top those lame word finders we had to do in school for our sex ed class....I was wrong!

the Daily-Dedicate-a-Song-to-a-Special-Someone Thread
by Crumpet inrather than hijack another thread and inspired by fullofdoubtnow and dedpoets music for the wedding thread i thought i would start a little "dedications" thread - this isn't the sort of dedication symbolised by dunking though!.
(i expect to see ggbg and ofg here forthwith for some romantic dedications).. i'd like to dedicate the following to someone special - "bodies - by drowning pool" .
they probably wont see this, but the thought that counts!.
