That sounds about right for the US too! with one exception, woman, while bringing beverage of choice to man must remind man to keep an eye on said meat and douses flames thus saving meat of the day while man still gets all the credit for a wonderful meal!

i remember once upon a time that no christmas advertising or merchandise was spotted until the day after thanksgiving.
well in the last few years, that semi rule has been set aside.
but today, 17 days before halloween, i saw a target commercial for christmas.

Hey at one of the supermarkets I worked at a couple of years ago, we were taking down the Xmas displays on the 24th of December and replacing them with Easter ones... it's all a marketing gimmic and they tend to intensify when times get tough... a lot of them depend on the extra trade those seasons bring with them. 
i don't know if this one was posted, but i thought you might want to see what kind of garbage they tell the young ones.. stop missing meetings, stop setting college and career goals.

Jeff... get your priorities straight. Your job is something you do when you're not playing werewolf (ie... night phase, waiting on the mod to do a write up on the latest lynch, fill in time while Will tries to convince us all he's not a wolf... etc).

it is can be difficult to think of a good one at the moment of signing up so here's mine for any lurker that wants to be.
Brother Apostate is taken... don't know if Sister Apostate is available or not though... 
then: get up grumpy, shower, go to starbucks, leave magazine to start time, drive to kingdom hall, hope to be able to work with friends in service so we can do just a few doors and then calls and an early lunch.. .
now: get up when i wake up, make coffee, read the boards, read the wsj and sf chronicle, wait for wife to wake up, take dog on a walk and decide what fun things to do in the bay area this weekend.. i love my weekends now!.

Halloween isn't such a big deal here.. but if it were up to me I'd be wearing a werewolf costume (shouldn't surprise too many, I realise
