Uh huh, Clarity.
I wash the lemon real well, then just chomp into it.
An ice cold glass of water will get rid of the bitter aftertaste.
Then, I'm good to go.
Seriously.

once you start viewing "worldly" people as people, just like yourself and everyone else, you can't help but to be filled with love and appreciation.. i read this scripture today and liked it :.
james 3:7-9 - for every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind, 8 but no human being can tame the tongue.
it is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

as a few of you may remember, i suffer from bipolar.. when working at the uk home office, i was signed off by my doctor with depression and anxiety.. in the space of 11 months i was assessed by 2 home office doctors, both diagnosing me as unfit for work.
i eventually left.. how therefore, can stupid little people in the kh say you'll be better doing fs, ministry school and being regular at meetings??.
they have to be the most un-empathetic bunch of people on the planet.
LOL @ Wuz.
You never fail to deliver, do you?
Our papa was a stone alcoholic, so I know exactly what you mean.

Or, as is done down here, go to a child care center and read Bible stories to preschoolers while the grateful caregiver takes a coffee break.
I kid you not!

i'm sitting here at the mtg, and i can't believe the mind numbing stupidity of this weeks wt "study"...( i use the word study loosely too by the way...).
how many dumb repeated questions can be posed to try and make a point?.

incantations form the core of many ancient religions, many of which survive to modern times.
mystical jewish kabala, islam, christianity etc.. saying a certain name or specific verse, or writing certain words, are said to change the outcome of events and heal or inflict tragedy.
speaking in tongues falls into this genre as well.. the sixth and seventh books of moses, used in hoodoo and voodoo, portray moses as the greatest of spell weavers with magical powers to turn a cane into a snake for instance.
LOL.
Indeed.

The Ancestors of the backwoods where I grew up were steeped in hoodoo/voodoo.
I know of some who would make the long trip to New Orleans to acquire a "hand" from one of the legendary Seven Sisters.
We children were admonished not to look too hard at a certain old lady for fear that she would give us the Evil Eye.
A new mother had to march around her house 6 times by herself, the 7th and last time with her newborn in her arms.
Wonder how that got started?
