  Why cant Judicial Committees be taped?

  i have never understood this.

  was it because of legal reasons?

  i cant think of any other reason why it wouldn't be allowed, but i know the elders ask you repeatedly that you are not taping.

  This is an interesting topic. In and about leaving the JWs, I have spent much time meditating on the message of the Christ: Love God and your Neighbors. He often explained that it is not the intellectuals and the people occupying prominent places that will be saved. Rather, it is the meek lowly humble ones who know how to love and be loved.

  This logic applies even to the dim witted and the mentally challenged. In the end, the most important thing, above everything, is love.

  But than, so can animals: Cats, dogs, cows, pigs, mooses, bears and others can show love and be loved as well.

  I wonder than, what are the arguments that would make us SOO much different from the animals that we would be deserving of God's blessing compared to them?

  They know many brothers in charge are actually in that database. Imagine, ministerial servants, pioneers, elders, etc. They have to be afraid of the mess it will cause when so many would have to step down.

  The 1,006 pedophiles reported in Australia were just the ones that were mishandled by the JWs. I bet there are even more pedophiles that were never even reported to the JWs but that the police still knows about!

  Anionted mom says Jehovah may ask her to kill all her family!!

  yes my holy anionted mom who has cancer is concerned that the loving god jehovah may ask her in heaven to destroy here non believer family including her 5 year old grandchild during armagedon....how messed up are these crazy people!!?

  my story: i am a 27 year old ex jw.

  former ms and regular pioneer at age 19. i was very active and had many "privileges" including district assembly and circuit assembly parts etc.

  as an example for young people.

  Herelgo: I'm glad to see that you are already managing and started a life outside the JW. As for your mother, well, you may send her "prayers" if you want. That is, expressing your feelings without expecting any answers of any kinds.

  You know, very often, JWs will try to rationalize the fact that they are shunning loved ones by turning the responsibilities around. They'll say: It is my son who dissociated and left me by leaving Jehovah. It is not me who decided to leave him. However, if every now and then, she gets a letter from you, she will have to re-evaluate her position. Remind her of your love and your desire to include her in your family life, she will have to come to terms with the fact that it is HER and HER alone who puts a stop to your relationship. And if you doubt that she reads the letters? Send post cards with pictures of your family.

  I'm willing to bet that your mom will still read the letters.

  What if Jesus Christ was not put to death by the Romans but instead died a natural death?

  according to christianity, the death of jesus was a miscarriage of justice.

  so then, what if there was no so-called miscarriage of justice so that jesus was not put to death by the romans but he instead died a natural death?

  would christians still receive the forgiveness of their sins and their hoped for salvation?.

  Prologos: You are right! Since Jesus had been perfect, he had to be murdered to die. Otherwise, he had no reason to die since he didn't inherit sin from Adam and Eve.

  As for a death as violent as the crucifixion, not sure. He could have been beheaded like James for example.

  Counting time

  i may not have put this in the correct spot, but i do think it's scandalous the way time gets counted now.

  i've seen a cart at the edge of our farmer's market, never anyone close enough to talk.

  yesterday was a drizzly day and there were two carts set up, covered in plastic, "witnessing" on their own.

  There is also the other side of the coin. The "Time Counting Nazis". Those, who at the end of the service day, confirm with everyone the time at which they started, the time allocated for the break, and basically tell everyone to stop counting time at the moment the last door was knocked on.

  The worst I have heard comes from my mother: A special pioneer she studied with wanted to travel from Montreal (QC) to Victoria (BC). Still, she wanted to keep counting her time, so every time she had to stop for gas or food, she'd make sure that she would offer publications to who ever was around. So, she actually counted her time for the entire duration of her travel.

  What's The First "Worldly" Thing You Did When You Exited The Cult?
