I had no second thoughts after the few weeks it took for the mental grip on me to be released.

Those stuck in the cult and can't think for themselves think
that the meetings are great. Once your eyes and heart are opened you wonder
how could I have been so stupid.
That sure is the truth.
I too used to think the meetings were great. Now you would have to drag me to one if you want me there.

Why aren't all of the Annointed at Bethel?
by nomoreguilt inthis really bothers me.
i've been reading up latelty alot about the gb and it's relationship to or lack there -in of the annointed.
jesus' spirit begotten followers, here on earth, the citizens of the new jerusalem, make up the faithful and discreet slave, correct?
-
R.F.
The GB is setting it up to the point that the are on the same level as the "other sheep". That's obvious by the recent QFR article that sunk the idea that 1935 was the cut-off year for selectin gthe anointed. By stating what they did in that particular article they already have placed the rest of the "anointed" in the same "your not so special" category as the other sheep.
To simply put it.....the Governing Body is the FDS. They say that they're the spokesmen of the FDS but other FDS members are silenced from offering any input.

I thought i'd search here to see if something was posted on this but.....
....a friend of mine that's a JW brought a cd of this talk by earlier for me to listen to, hoping that it would be something that could help me "wake up" from my supposed spiritual lethargy. I listened to it as he requested to see what mindless drivel would seep from this talk and I must say.....i'm quite sickened by this garbage. It's nothing more than alot of fearmongering in this talk. I'm so glad I don't have to put up with this anymore
By the way, I don't think this is Sam Herd, it sure doesn't sound like him. He sounds more like J.R. Brown.

oh, i'm a pioneer and jehovah gave me $10 for gas
by monophonic ini'm drawing a huge blank..
there was a thread here a while back on the bogus experiences at the assemblies about how jehovah stepped in just when a pioneer has $0, and oh, boy, were we blessed.......yet whenver bad things happen, even when praying for help, like someone gets killed, the 'we put in 75 hours of service and jehovah fed us' theory turns idiotic..
anyone remember that thread...or wanna give me some word power over those pathetic experiences....just got one via email from a relative and really want to throw back a doozy to make him think..

I confessed to an elder of something I did and it so happened to be on a meeting night that I did wrong and the elders response was "well if you were at meeting that wouldn’t have happened see how it is a protection for us."
What if this had happened on a non-meeting night? Their reasoning can be so.....odd.
That reminds me of when I was a teen. An ice storm came through the area and it caused alot of heavy tree branches to fall all over the place. There was still meeting that morning and one of hte branches went straight through the roof and hit my bed where my pillow was. If I had been home sleeping I could very well be dead or in very bad shape. Dad said the meetings were a protection. So what if this happened on another day? What if I was instead out doing drugs.....would that had been a protection?

Good news there. College does a number on the whole mind-control thing. Good luck! She's in a university now on a full scholarship and intends to pioneer when she's done with college!!!
That's what I was thinking. How much longer does she have at college?
