The "bodily reserrection of Christ" doctrine again falls apart under Bible.
by booker-t ini had once posted on this board that i have been talking to a born-again christian co-worker of mine on the subject of the bodily reserrection of christ doctrine.
i just cannot believe how satan has totally blinded the minds of people with regards to this doctrine.
i have tried just about everything and showed my co-worker every verse that totally destroys the bodily reserrection of christ doctrine (sometimes called the bodily reserrection doctrine) i know the problem is that born-again christians have to hold onto this doctrine because of another false doctrine they teach the "trinity" to explain away scriptures that clearly show jesus is not and has never been equal to jehovah.

my research into antient hebrews mingling thier blood during covenant......
by grewupJWnoselfesteem78-95 inin this book, the miriclle of the scarlet thread, richard booker outlines the steps ancient hebrews typically followed in making a covenant: ......they exchanged robes.......they exchanged belts.....cut the convenant.......raised the right hand..........mingled their blood.......exchanged names.....made a scar.....stated the convenant terms.........ate the memorial meal......and planted a tree.
the covenant partners raised their right arms, cut their palms and intermingled their blood, while swearing allegiance to each other.
blood represents life; the intermingling represent two lives becoming one.

The scriptures you used don't really say that blood was mixed, sometimes I think one can look for things that will support what we may want to think without actually saying so. Like for example (Isaiah 19:19), was used by Russel to say that the Egyptian Pyramid the bible in stone? (19) In that day there will prove to be an altar to Jehovah in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to Jehovah beside its boundary.
Maybe these cutting of risks and palms to mingle blood was Israelites that left Jehovah, sounds pagan to me.

How many JW's are leaving the the org each year - is the figure rising?
by Must obey! ini think i've seen clever posters work out how many leave the organisation each year, or at least stop being 'publishers'.
how many have been leaving each year since 2000?
is the number increasing?.

There's been around 3million left over 25yrs, and hundreds leave bethel each year just in Australia, but weather they all leave the truth don't know, but some have.
You don't here them encouraging not having babies any more like they used to back in the seventies. The biggest growth now is those bought up and born in the org, and they are encouraged to get baptized earlier than previous years and to make pioneering a career.
I have also noticed that the elders are getting younger and younger, some I find are useless when it comes to empathy and communication one on one, even the older ones in their forties are suss, they just don't have any communication skills.
And of course the women do most of the witnessing and there are more older single women than ever before, these ones are single not by choice but because there are no brothers, its sad, all their lives with no one, no children, its very sad.

They will get as many b/s to use their own time and resources to help jack up the WTS, the amount of unpaid work and time that the b/s do for Bethel, quick builds, literature placements (we pay and never get a cent back usually as we don't ask for donations, but our conscience makes us pay for the literature of the WTS) the cleaning of the halls, maintenance, petrol shoe money and the list goes on, now we do this out of love for God hopefully, and should not complain then, God love a cheerful giver, we are always reminded of that.
Now we have four contribution box's in the KH, an extra one was put in about six months ago, this was for the international KH building, but the other box was supposed to be for the World wide work, so they have to box's supposedly for the same thing but under a different name. They should just say the fourth box is for monies back from payments to child abuse victims. But that of course would cause a riot, or would it.
So I only give for literature and KH for electricity and other things, that's it.

The Orwellian World of JWs and Oral Sex
by BizzyBee ina great read - the orwellian world of jehovah's witnesses - just got it yesterday and i'm halfway through - hard to put down.. the following quote triggered the connection with the oral sex article.
the authors are discussing the fact that the wts avoided addressing the failed prophecy of 1975 (until 1980), and instead, from 1977-79, focused elsewhere:.
"concern began to focus more and more heavily upon theological interpretations of 'good behavior' - of what was demanded by god if jehovah's witnesses were to retain or regain jehovah's approval.

The idea is to make the law so hard to keep that everyone becomes a secret lawbreaker.
It is controlling, and the law is the law, and we brake the law in the solitude of hidden room, where no one can see our terrible act, yet God does and he feels sad that we feel so unworthy because of the pharisaic laws of the WTS, it makes hs Son's sacrifice of no value.

As I said, I DO know you from other forums... but I've learnt the hard way about cross-posting from different forums, so I won't do it this time (remember the chaos last time?).
...and YES, I know that you are distancing yourself from the organisation in order to stay faithful to God.
...and YES, I know that you do not represent the Watchtower, but you are one of many who has a toe in and a toe out of the organisation. You may have the best of both worlds, but that is not what is on offer at the doorstep.
What IS on offer is total commitment to the organisation - otherwise people are seen as "spiritually weak" etc.
Okay, I guess this is what it boils down to :
Does God/Jehovah/Yahweh/Creator actually want us to be loyal to HIM or to an ORGANISATION claiming to represent him. You can't do both... (You can't have two masters according to Jesus).
You know all those little things that don't make sense about the Watchtower ?
Well, they all start to fall into place when you stop thinking of the Watchtower as a religion and start thinking of it as a business. Businesses seek to grow and protect themselves.
The preaching message of this business is incidental - it has just become an advertising slogan - it is no longer the driving force from the top. It may well be with the Publishers on the ground, but the directive from the top is "survive".
Which makes me think of something... what do you call someone who works for a Publishing Company ? A publisher.
When did Jesus ever say that ? Don't you see how they have slipped things like this in and it all becomes somehow "normal" ?
Well I would have to agree with you......but with all of what you say....I can see that this organization does use its resources and volunteer's to preach God's Kingdom.
Also I may add that there teaching about the truth of who Jehovah and his Son is the Kingdom is paramount to me.
I honestly believe that JW have the truth, regardless of the imperfect org, which by the way publishes teachings from God's word and helps Gods' people.

when i studied to be a JW (Sept2006-Feb2007----got baptized March2007) i studied out of the "What does the Bible really teach" book. my conductor would give me hundreds of old magazines and would drag our 1 hour study out to 4 hours....just yapping away!!! i finally figured out what she was doing.....so when she suggested i go into the second publication i said no i am ready to be baptized so you can't take advantage of me in order to increase your time and magazine count. too bad i didnt spend all that time reading the bible myself i wouldnt be in all this mess!!!! the mandatory second publication is prolly to help the pioneers get their 60 hours a month without too much exertion.....
awwwwwwwwww.. I think you are full of crap

I thought the generation was a good interpretation, they really got out of that OK, what do you think?
What interpretation did you think was best? The one that Rutherford taught, the one that Freddy Franz taught, the reinterpretation by the GB in 95 or "the new light"of 2008
I just consider it a blessing and privilege to be ASSociated with such a progressive organization...
I was having a lend that's all. I thought it was a good excuse, many will cop this, that's all I meant, I don't personally believe it.
