  i found this interesting.

  this would seem to run counter to the typical caricatures encountered on the net.

  it would appear that most american christians are more inclusionary and universalist than some might think.

  Wow! The Catholics have come a long way, I'm glad. Growing up most of my friends were Catholics and I always liked them.

  Unlike me, they never, never tried pushing their religious believes on me and as far as I know, they never much cared about my beliefs

  or what it was I believed in. I think everybody thought I was Catholic also when in their company since I behaved the same as them, which

  was always respectfully...........but worldly? We loved cruising and listening to the Wolfman, and KOMA (radio station) and "oldie but goodies."

  It seems that Americans are more kind and generous than the god of the bible.

  From Genesis to Apocalypse god is a cruel killer, and he doesn't kill quickly and mercifully he does it with storms, earthquakes,

  diseases, serpents, floods, men killing men, women and children, etc.etc.

  1) disfellowshipping, disassociation and shunning.

  2)field service reporting and making disciples

  3)baptism and who should be baptised

  4)who really is "the last generation'?

  5)who really is the head of the congregation?

  You will not regret being there among god's people to receive the wonderful, happy news, and new light we've all been waiting for.

  All people have the freedom to decide wether to use their mind and reasoning abilities or not, they can do their own thinking and reasoning or they can simply let others do their thinking and reasoning for them. What a grand blessing it is to have others do our thinking and reasoning for us, They who daily commune with He who knows all and lovingly channel His thoughts to us who choose not to think for ourselves.

  Even now They are throwing the "sacred bones" to see what it is we should do next. It makes me giddy and ligthheaded just thinking about it. Oh sorry, I forgot to not think; I sinned again.

  Asperger's Syndrome

  has anyone heard of asperger's syndrome?

  i was doing research the other day, for someone, and came across this disorder.

  in reading it, i am positive both my youngest son and his wife have it.

  On the TV program,"Boston Legal", one of the characters on that show has asperger's syndrome, he's the one that hops around instead of walking and always goes around with his palms glued to his lap, among other symptoms that he displays. I like him and, sorry, he makes me laugh. Of course, all those nutty lawyers make me laugh (lawyers on "Boston Legal").

  I think that in order to survive, the WBTS, which it's struggeling to do now, will become like the great religions of christendom, it will end up maintaining it's doctrines but practicing a form of laissez-faire with it's members. That is, let the people do as they choose, much like the Catholic church does now with it's members.

  JW's are now where the Catholics were in the 15th century, IMO.

  Goodbye to JWD ... hello to JWN !

  as i announced some time ago, jwd as it is will not continue .... ... but .... it's clear from people's comments that they do like the site and many would like it or something else like it to continue.. one issue was the forum software that was self-developed and not really in a good state to hand-over to anyone but i've been working on that and can now reveal the first release of what will probably be called jwn (son of jwd):.

  it is still work-in-progress so not all features are enabled yet but it will allow you to browse the site in a similar way to this one and it is pointing at the same database (although because of the way the caching works, new posts made on this site won't appear immediately).
