in revelation 7:15, the nwt says that a great crowd who had just come out of the great tribulation would be rendering sacred service to god "day and night in his temple.
" in the book, revelationits grand climax at hand!, the explanation of this verse is given as follows:.
this temple does not refer to the inner sanctuary, the most holy.
It is clear that the Bible teaches the "great crowd" will be rendering sacred servce day and night in the heavenly temple. When Jehovah's Witnesses teach that the great crowd of Revelation 7:9-17 will be located on earth, they are teaching a myth.

I did some Revelation Climax reviews - as a result of chapter 20 as you highlighted. I did chapter 21 & chapter 29. Between the 2 of us we could have a commentary on the entire Revelation book!

i have heard over the last couple of weeks , from 2 different sources that the pioneer hours are to be reduced to 60, this has come from uk bethel sources, but not seen anything posted here about that here... also that the new wt for the witnesses contans an article that gives 3 new points of 'revised light'... any ideas what these are about?.
i have also had lots of fun recently, questioning people on what the scripture mean whan it says .. do not forsake the gathering of yourselves together, even more so as you behold gods day drawing near... in view of the recent book study stuff....
dont know about the pioneer hours but the new light is probably the July 15 WT - reviews the annual meeting revisions of the Dragnet and the Leaven. Probably a 3rd thing in there too.

I could not believe this article when it came out. I probably read it a dozen times and I say that without hyperbole.
Paragraph 17 & 18 just floored me. If someone is critical of the truth, dont defend the truth, dont teach him the truth or show him the error of his ways, no, instead ask yourself if this one is acting in harmony with the bible? What the hell does that mean? What does that have to do with anything? How would you determine if he is or not? They just changed the subject and the JW continues along as if the WTS has made a sustantiated statement when in reality they said nothing at all!

That is an approach I have not heard before - very annoying that they are now using false pretenses to get themselves an open door!
an elder in my old hall would say "we are ministers of the bible" if the "householder" asked" yes but are you JW's?" he would condacendingly repeat himself: " were ministers of the bible" Another sister, whenever an Awake article was about the Flu, or heart attacks, or something like that she would say " we are volunteers in the community raising awareness of ...." so stupid!

i was still in the "troof" a couple of years ago when my mom said that to my face, in front of my husband no less.. he was a jw as well, he couldn't believe it.
my reply was "well i will give my life to save my children and if god sees fit to punish me for that - that's his choice".

when I was a teenager and right after my dad died my mother said to a sister that was visiting - and I quote:
"if it wasnt for the truth i would line up my family in the backyard, get the shotgun, shoot them all and then shoot myself!"
The sister fake chuckled cause of course she must be kdding , Of course I was embarassed and pissed off about the comment and said somehthing along the lines of "oh c'mon mom, dont be rediculous". To which she replied:
"I would ! I'm serious!"
Of course this was just my mother trying to look like a good die-hard dub. It was one of the most assinine comments I have ever heard.
Sad really, how making a comment about killing your family can be considered evidence of how much you love God....
