  excellent again V! I like that you touched on the number of annointed since 1935. It would be amazing if one of our resident actuaries was able to pull together an analisys of all partakers since 1874 and conclude how many actual annointed the WTS has claimed since the days of Russel.

  I would suspect there to be even less space available for the previous 19 centures than stated in the video!

  but even using the number 100,000 this meant that only 53 people per year on average were acceptable christians to Jehovah. 53 per year??? How many christians died in the Colliseum??? Were they not acceptable to jehovah??? These could have number into the tens of thousands or more!

  Again, fantastic video. Great food for thought. Despite everything I know about this org this one video provides enough evidence to undermine the WTS!!!

  Clarify- I'm going back to Meetings to save my wifes sanity! What would you do?

  i recently posted that my wife has had mental/depression problems since she hurt her back at work 12 months ago....and since after years of picking on the witnesses by me, she finally lost her faith in them and became in-active....victory i thought!

  slowly her stress levels began to rise...she quit work and rehab....then the sleeplessness, wierd behavior..wild agression....bizzar stuff.

  we split for two months after much stress...she called me back home crying and i relent...she lost many kilo's {pounds} in weight, and isn't doing well i want to help, i was heartbroken to see this.

  it is a hard choice to make but one that I can completely empathize with......... you love your wife, thats so rare anymore. Best of luck

  Calling all Computer Geeks!

  try as i may, my presario moves too slow.. i have tried several registry cleaners, defragged, checked for spyware... all the usual stuff.

  it is not terribly slow, but just seems slower than it used to be.

  any suggestions?.

  anything under 256 mb RAM with XP will run slow. If you have any other programs running in the background (which the majority of aver. comp. users do and dont even know it) using resources you will easily you over 200 mb RAM just to run idle.

  You should have over 500mb to run XP without hangups. I would still recommend you format the HD. Your system is probably loaded with free internet download add-ons....

  leavingwt is right about autoruns. But so many details omitted. How much RAM? what OS? Are you on a network? Wireless?

  If not on network you can shut down TONS of services completely and free up loads of RAM.

  What virus scanner you running? What are your update settings for various programs?

  if all else fails, format the HD and start fresh. When I can take it anymore thats always how I fix it for good....

  Why do they never invite you for a meal but always encourage you to attend meetings?

  today, an elder in my hall phoned and left a message saying he would stop by with a memorial invitation.. this elder has never bothered to encourage me in the past when i was missing meetings, yet suddenly he remembers me in the run up to the memorial.. i got to thinking about this - a few in our congregation called us when they found out we were inactive, encouraging us to go back to meetings.

  or they would say, "it's the co visit next week, you have to come listen to his talk.".

  i would give these "genuine ones" their due - they made an effort - but, when i think about it what effort have they actually made?.

  i recall one family had not invited me over for years - after a couple months of inactivity my wife and i went out in servitude to the leaders and low & behold they invited us over that night!

  after that i slipped back into my sad irregularity and needless to say, we were not invited again. i guess a couple hours of bangin on doors could be worth a free meal?

  i know that shortly after rutherford dismissed the idea that the new covenant was only for the jews (as taught by russell) he eventually began to formulate his new doctrines of how he felt it did apply to people.

  but i'm a little lost as to why exactly he chose to create this doctrine.. what were some of the deeper motiviations rutherford had in creating this doctrine?

  i flipped through pentons book but he really doesn't get into it.
