  demonization of the internet at the meetings

  I have had access to the internet for 9 years and I NEVER looked at ANYTHING that might even hint of apostasy until just this past winter. Interestingly it was the Wikipedia article on JW's that started the ball rolling for me. (those links are addictive!) I guess Wikipedia seemed innocent enough, I mean its Wikipedia.... it must be unbias and objective!!

  The thing is i probably viewed a thousand hours of porn online (literally) before I even entertained the thought about possibly viewing a site that might possibly even think about suggesting that the WTS could maybe be mistaken.................

  The WTS continues to demonize the internet, I was just at the assembly for 3 days and this topic came up repeatedly. All of you apostates are bound and bent to do only one thing in life, and that is to weaken the faith of Jehovahs faithful servants by any means possible!! And this includes "disguising" yourselves as faithful witnesses in chat rooms and on my space/facebook only to drop subtle hints that cause one to begin questioning their faith. You guys are soooo tricky!!!!!!!!

  Well, I'va made it through Friday.....

  so i have the friday of the district assembly behind me.

  i have learned;.

  i need to cancel my cable so i can study more and read the bible more and have less temptation to buy "new toys"i need to sell my house and buy an ol' fixer upper so my wife can stop working and pioneeri need to sell all my "toys" and my cari need to trust the fds implicitly because jehovah does.i need to pray more, study more, preach more, go to more meetings, etc.

  While you're sitting in the convention, do you find your mind wandering and making plans for where to go to dinner? Do you pass notes to your family and friends with restaurant suggestions?

  I was texting during the whole 3 days. And yes, many of these were for dinner plans!!!!!

  If you assign a work in the house (such as painting) to someone you will not stay behind him the whole day watching what he does, continually check his work, give him counsel, etc... it is the same with Jehovah and the FDS. He assigned a work and leaves it up to them to do it their way.

  I was horrified. Nothing could be more mind controlling than such an example.

  Did you hear something similar?

  I dont recall that one! although I was having a tough time staying awake, even for this talk which I specifically wanted to pay attention too!

  I just recall the point that we should put complete trust in the FDS because Jehovah and JC do. Questioning the FDS is questioning Jehovah.

  Is it just me or have I been to this assembly before? well either way I wont be getting out of Sat and Sun!!

  what i thought was interesting was that we are Christs belongings, Jesus entrusted the FDS to all His belongings, thus we must trust the FDS if we are to remain as Christs belongings........ Uhm, was I the only one in the room that saw this was circular reasoning????

  At least Sat afternoon will be intersting with a talk about not listening to false teachers. Oh yeah, and the internet is bad and full of apostates!!!!!!!

  I am only a 3rd of the way through this and I am completely godsmacked.

  I need to research this on my own from multiple sources. This may very well shake the foundation of everything I have ever believed and everything I ever "thought" I could believe.

  If external, independent evidence supports this documentary, this could become the single most defining moment in my life. I cant believe what I am seeing............

  Great Trib has already happened but ressurrection and coming is still future) -- I think that's kinda how the WTBTS see's it

  no, the WTBTS says that the great tribulation is yet future and will be more turbulent times than have ever existed. This will immediately preceed Armageddon.

  well if god is real, and satan is real, then something has to come to a head.

  The way I see it, God cant just let this rebelious angel to continue to exist forever making life difficult for humans and undermining His authority. There has to be a point where god says "enough is enough. Its time to put things back to the way I intended"

  Something has to happen. Why would god reward satan with an eternal existence to do whatever he wants?

  In So. California some JWs did have badges made up that looked similar to those worn by Mormon missionaries. The JWs then went around being intentionally offensive to everyone who would answer the doorbell. The intention was to turn people away from opening the door to the Mormons. Unfortunately for the JWs they crossed the line when they urinated on people's bushes and got arrested

  this story is such b.s. i love the guy that says, well, it must have been jw's because they left a track. come on, even jw's aren't THAT dumb.

  agreed. What the hell would be the point?? Trash your deck and invite you to an assembly??

  It is extremely obvious to anyone that the men the lady described were mormons and not JW's, but why would mormons do it?????

  This is an act of vandelism that for some rediculous reason is trying to be pinned on JW's (because a tract that could have been placed on the hours before or after the event was found) or Mormons (because they've "been there before").

  This is like saying the guy that pumped the gas into my car last week looked at me funny so I think he did it!!!!!

  I am starting to wonder if the family that came up with this scenario are "inbreeders" or something..............
