  What will the WT become? (Sort of a Survey)

  i have been out for a long time.

  to give you an idea of how long, the concept of not offering subscriptions anymore is news to me!.

  as they continue consolidating and down-sizing, what affect do you all think this will have on individual witnesses and on their organization as a whole?

  Mass suicide is always reserved for charismatic crackpots and misled followers who mistakenly begin to take seriously their own ridiculous marketing rhetoric that, ironically, was initially designed to both bolster the ranks of their peers and validate their psychotic existence.

  As with all good American commercialism, the New York Corporation, as an entity, is much too clever to be perceived sacrificing the goose that laid the Golden Age.

  They ll just reduce over-head by disfellowshiping any openly disillusioned clip-winged Anatidae while continuing to invest receding proceeds of publication revenue until being replaced by other, more lucrative poultry.

  I suspect strategically reduced numbers of Jehovahs Witnesses will continue to be used as a statistical tool to maintain the huge advantage of a religious tax-exempt status.

  But the Corporation has already become the future -- a conventional religious pseudo-educational, real-estate developing, financial administrative powerhouse.

  Most everyone just isnt paying attention. Apparently, exactly as the Corporation likes it.

  lately, my mother keeps talking about how so many are appreciative of the "faithful & discreet slave class".

  we got into a discussion that prompted me to tell her that there is no such thing as the faithful slave class and that it was all an invention of rutherford because the first "faithful slave" was dead.

  so now everthing is a slave.

  Theres plenty of seemingly intelligent people (no relation to rational) that are easily led to believe such things as ear candling (coning) removes ear wax, Noni Juice might cure cancer, Amway will make almost anyone who pays for and follows there sales program religiously, rich, or, similarly, purchasing Bible like books and magazines to be distributed on ones own dime while encouraging others to do likewise might make you popular and a candidate for everlasting life.

  I, at least, have the excuse that I was raised a Jehovahs Witness and therefore had no choice but to follow. Perhaps your mother was also raised as one but discovered much to late to allow herself the luxury of extra-curricular thought.

  The truly 'smart' ones are those that are well aware its a load of crap, but craftily allow marketing the ridiculous to the accepting few using the oldest tricks in the book to satisfy their individual or corporate financial and/or psychological needs and interests.

  Bethel pictures

  years ago when i dated a jw who was accepted to bethel, it was explained to me that applicants had to submit a picture.

  i never bothered to question this, or ask anybody at the time, but i've always wondered what the point of that was.

  does anybody know?

  Once youve learned to stop contributing time and personal after tax income towards sterile corporate real estate acquisitions and publications that tout a very questionable promise of a future, cheesy paradise on earth, and pocket what's used to make the WTS rich ... it sure feels like winning a lottery.

  this is a true story.

  i do not bullshit about stuff like this.. everybody knows i'm agnostic, and most of you know that i lump wicca right in there with all the other religious beliefs as being just one more crock of lies, and have pissed off sunchild and sirona and a few others with my observations about wicca.

  well, as i continue on my path of mellowship, i've mellowed toward wicca as well.

  I saw some "magick wands" for sale ... and they looked cheesy and amateurish, and I thought to myself that, strictly from a craftsmanship standpoint, I could do much better.

  That reminds me, to illustrate the point I believe there may be an organization that's been producing cheesy but lucrative disposable "magick wands" that only last a couple of weeks before you have to get new ones, and go by the name of Watchtower and Awake!

  The best part is, for that they qualify for a full tax exemption.

  You just might be on to something here, COMF!

  dear brothers:

  as you have admitted, the watch tower bible & tract society did join the united nations as a non government organization in 1992 ending in 2001, and according to the following watch tower this means that by their own actions they disassociated them selves from jehovahs organization which means that we must treat them like disfellowshiped ones.

  in other words they are no longer jehovahs witnesses or have any right to that name.

  I perceive that you have no spine.

  Friday, I cautiously understand how you think my spine would have anything to do with the leaders of that fine cult of yours (and once mine) attempting to profit from tugging the apron strings of association with the UN, an organization your "wise guys" have vehemently denounced via almost every publication up until their partnership.

  However, for an example of relevant anatomy as an analogy of your perceptions, perhaps I could respectfully suggest a ring like muscle that normally maintains constriction of a body passage or orifice and that relaxes as required by normal physiological functioning which was mistakenly installed near your neck during baptism , cutting oxygen flow to your brain.

  The truth is that they simply made strategic use of the United Nations in order to further the good news of God's Kingdom throughout the earth.

  Great! " The truth is... " I'll use a similar excuse at the next judicial hearing.
