I don't like to use the word "cult" in describing some religions. However, all religions have cult-like ways. We have to be careful who we call cults, because one could say what Jesus started was a cult.

there are many definitions and lists of criteria for the concept of "cult.
" this is only one of them, so your mileage may vary.

Just out of high school, stuffed envelopes for a local PBS TV station for the summer, then I....
worked at a bank as a mortgage clerk
steno at a farm supply company
steno at a bank
secretary in a mental health facility in different departments
office manager in hubby's business
sent out on steno assignments for a temporary agency
for a summer, screened in patios and windows
" " construction clean up
cleaned houses
worked in a deli dept. at a grocery store (if I had stayed there I would have gotten killed)
worked for a call center
took a year off to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up! LOL
Now I am a licensed, massage therapist, (after going to school) and loving it!!

Child sacrifice
by veen inso everyone always goes on about how terrible baal worshipers were, sacrificing their children to him etc.
do not parents therefore, of children who die from not accepting blood, carry out a very similar act.
essentially, they allow their children to die just to please their god, and would be praised for standing firm right to the end, as they stood by and watched their child slowly slip away, knowing that they could save their life at any time.

good point and I know you're coming from the religious aspect, but we as a human race sacrifice our children on other fronts too (sometimes our adult children) to war, or ignorant moms who have a child or two and then hook up with an abusive man and have his child and in a rage, kills the kids who aren't his, OR after warnings to parents who have guns in the house, to keep them where their kids can't have access to them, and the parents ignore the warnings, and their children kill themselves accidentally or their friends who they are showing the gun to.

i m free of human ideas or "divine".

Leo, thanks for the link to your other post. I have it saved in my word processor so I can read it a little at a time. Plus I never even thought of the idea that Jesus was not put to death on a symbol but on something which was a means of execution. Excellent!

Name one thing the JW's would like to see changed in their religion?
by JH inlets say the jw's were allowed to write down on a piece of paper, without anyone knowing who wrote what, one thing that they would like changed in their religion, what do you think most jw's would want changed?

And then they would blame the R&F for feeling guilty if they were delaying it in their own minds. As if we are responsible for Armageddon not coming.

Couldn't it just be as simple as your intuition towards people? Like they are giving off good or bad vibes?
Compartmentilization, no matter if you do it to yourself or others do it to you, IMHO is not good. I hate it.
