about how many hours per day or night do you spend on this forum?
i spend about 2-3 hrs per night actively participating and browse throughout the day.. my boss allows me to do this because i 'm very good at multi-tasking.
he thinks i'm the greatest thing since grits and gravy.. snowbird.

About 8-10 hours a day almost every day for several weeks. I have a great job even though I'm at work 11 hours a day. I can do whatever I want if I don't have a customer to sell. Evil internet appealed to my fleshly inclination to view apostate (equal to pornographic per FDS) web sites.
Last night my husband gave me my Kingdom Ministry where I read that I am excited to hear the thrilling news of the new kool-aid edition of the Watchtower.
Talk about smut.

I find it extremely therapeutic to be honest about everything that I've posted. This forum has helped me feel like I am not alone. I actually feel the warmth and support here that I was always told that I felt in the congregation.Of course this awakening has all happened very fast (once I started looking for info. on the evil internet that is) so I hold back a little. Actually if anyone who knows me read my post history it wouldn't be difficult to i.d. me because of how open I am.
I agree with ninja about peole recognizing me by posts and picture and look forward to when I can be completely open and honest.

I started studying when I was 21 and I couldn't understand why no one else could see what was so obviously to me "The Truth". I actually left the organization for 11 years but still believed it. I went back 6 years ago and the scales have been falling off of my eyes a little at a time.
Now I can't believe what should have been obvious the first time I was told not to read outside the org. literature. NOT "The Truth". Truth can stand up to thorough investigating and remain true. Lies cannot.

i'm not sure if this has ever been brought up before (probably has) but something just occurred to me...why were there always dubs guarding the donation boxes outside out of the conventions (in the hallways.)?
i mean i know the obvious reason behind it...very north korea-esque if you ask me, but we were told over and over just how special and christian and different we were from the world.... i'm looking for your theories on this.
Ariana - Do yourself a favor and read "Crisis of Conscience" and you'll wish you'd never been taught any of those things at the conventions. Anytime the GB has "prophesied" about any date they have been wrong.The 'new light" always comes to explain away the fact that it was just another false prophecy. Open your mind and take in more available information than just what they supply. You owe it to yourself and your children. I am only just now realizing how much damage I did to mine, all this time I thought it was my non-JW ex-husband. Make sure of all things.
