  Anybody else have birds hit their windows often?

  the most beautiful cardinal just hit the window in our den.

  he's breathing, i can't tell if anything is broken.

  i'd check a little closer but i don't want to get pecked or something.

  Once when I was driving a friend's van I noticed a flock of Canadian geese overhead. Two were dropping lower and lower. I said to my friend, "Look how fast those geese are dropping away from the rest."

  BAM! One of the geese hit the window. I couldn't talk for another 5 miles down the road. It was the strangest thing, they didn't look like they were coming at me when I told her to look.

  I still can't tbelieve it didn't even crack the window. I looked in the rear view and saw it's companion land beside it in the median. it was probably sick when it fell but I felt terrible about actually hitting it. Poor thing.

  we had a guy who used to bang on about natural remedies.. at the doors and meetings he would tell everyone what was wrong with them and what to take to remedy it he even told the brothers of for sell coke at the assemblies.. however there was know remedy for his mental health apart from that he was a fat little porker who looked like you could grow spuds on his teeth and washing wasnt big on his agenda last i heard he joined scientology.. we had 4 sisters in the congro pregnant one nut case confessed to the elders he was father to all of them.. one sister used to attack the po's wife in the kh then stand up through the meeting and abuse at the speaker after that they would call the sike team it wasnt uncommon for her to go door to door at midnight.. last i heard she became a counsellor..

  We had a guy that looked like a very overweight Hitler. He stared at me non-stop. It seems he always picked a sister that had large breasts so it was funny to the others. The sister he oggled before me had just moved when I started my study. He had written her notes admiring her breasts.

  When we stopped for our break on Saturdays at an Amish restaurant he would eat applebutter out of the container that sat on the table. It was so embarrassing. I would always give the container to the waitress when we left so no on e would eat after him.

  When I started attending meetings to get reinstated I was sitting in the back of the hall. He got up in the middle of the meeting, walked by me and threw a songbook in the seat beside me. I opened it and saw where I had written my name in it over 10 years before.

  Creeped me the hell out, even more than when I first started attending the hall.

  i was at the same one.. here are some comments:.

  1. brand name recognition counts for a lot, but the society screws this up big time.

  I don't feel that the age diffrence is important personally. I think once you are in your 30's 10 years either way is acceptable depending on maturity of course.

  I would be certain that you are going to have more than a friendship before it's mentioned to your children.

  Only you can decide if there is enough respect and electricity to proceed. Is he mature and responsible albit not yet established in a career?

  Do you have red flags?

  yesterday we all met as a congreation for service at the hall.

  remeber how the km had that article about starting on time and not talking afterwards but getting right to the territory?

  What type of person are you attracted to now?

  i was just thinking about this the other day, about how my ideas of a romantic partner have changed since being a jw.. growing up, i thought i would marry a very upstanding jw, we would pioneer together, do missionary work, have children, see the world.

  (never had any thoughts about bethel, though.

  ) so what it boiled down to was a stepford husband, up tight, not the least bit sexual, closed minded bore.. so now that i have grown up, seen the world, been married (and actually picked a good man the first time, although it didn't work out), i just contrast that with what i am attracted to now.. i like them open minded, earthy, i love artistic types because i am a published writer, hair doesn't matter to me (long/short, bald, etc), challenges convention, very sexual, still like a traveling man.. i am just curious if you anyone else can compare and contrast how their ideas have changed since breaking out the group-think of the jw organization..

  9. In touch with his feminine side: "He will watch Ally McBeal with me and not make sarcastic remarks." --watsonmich (I've got my girlfriends for chick flicks)
  10. Financially Stable: "He doesn't have to be rich, just financially responsible." --jmcgrath
