  Study ended because he asked too many embarrassing questions.

  nothing new here just a reminder to those who havent been to hall for awhile.. a workmate just had his study cut off.

  there were some things he was being taught that he agreed with (trinity) some he didnt (faithful and discreet slave being a group of old men in ny).

  can anyone provide a list of, or a link to, examples where the wtbt cd-rom info is different from what is written in the bound volumes?.

  also can anyone remember the question (directed at everyone except jw's) from a watchtower or awake saying something along the lines of "can you be proud of all the actions of the religion you are a part of?.

  well, i called my father this saturday.. i havn't talked to him for a year and a half.

  when i talked to him at that time i said my goodbyes and told him we would probably never see or talk to each other again because of his stand.. he got choked up a bit over that comment and said, "don't say that.

  " i said, well unless you decide to change matters that will be how it will be.. so, i was able to tell him i love him and he told me he loved me too.

  I would call right away. And again,and again, and again. Just like out in service. Do the Dubs quit making the RV's justbecause another family member closes the door in his face ?

  Of course not!

  She probably didn't even tell him you called.

  i can't recall how many times i heard this tripe as a jw, especially following a sincere question regarding how people in china or india would have the same chance to hear it as those in the us.. i often wondered how god would account things at armageddon - would it go something like this?;.

  If you started your own 'brand of religion'......

  what would you include?.

  it occured to me that there are a lot of thinking, intelligent and good people that use this board..........our views may differ.........some may believe in a god, others definitely dont and some sit firmly on the fence.......but what if we removed god from the equation....... what if we as members of this board had to suggest and formalise a 'way of living' that would be beneficial to all of mankind; what would your ideas be?.

  i know some people may be offended to use the term religion as this immediately denotes gods involvement.......so lets call it the 'experience'........

  i don't know if this has been done here yet, but, anyone ever go on a hunch and order something out of the ordinary, you weren't sure you'd like, then it becomes of of your favorite foods?

  i had a steak yesterday, i like steak, and it had raw oysters in it.

  since being open to the truth abou da troof, whenever i read watchtower articles, their titles are always combinations of the same thing, just rehatched and modified to say teh same exact thing... does anybody get what i mean?.

  serve jehovah and have ever-lasting peace!.

  serve jehovah and keep and mild spirit, always remembering jesus christ is your lord!.

  BTW - Well said. Reminded me of another Alan; Shore from Boston Legal. Hope you take that as a compliment, I love that guy. Don't know if anything will get through to The Scotsman but this thread is helping me tremendously. This forum is like an oasis of intellgent thought.
