You know the old saying Terry...
"Figures never lie, liars figure!"
I guess that could apply to other types of "accountants" too...
you own a business and hire an accountant to manage the finances.. your checks start to bounce every once and awhile.
you anxiously call your accountant: "what's going on?
bank to cover these things!".

this past mon.
i had to have a hysterectomy and some other repairs.
i told the doc that since i'm going under anyway, if you see something that needs fixing, do it....and he went to town!
Hi 3rdgen...I am glad the surgery went well. Don't be surprised about being down...I was in the hospital this year for over a week, and when I came home I was "not myself" either. It is very typical, and often can be a combination of the drugs you are taking and the trauma to your body. As a surgeon once told me, "surgery is just an assualt with a deadly weapon under a controlled environment"! Once you turn the recovery corner, you will be amazed how much better you will feel, both physically and mentally.
As to your new life, it too will improve...to use a tired old WT cliche, "keep your eyes on the prize".
cigars and jehovah's witnesses.. http://drschiffman.wordpress.com/2011/12/23/cigars-and-jehovahs-witnesses/.

El Rey Del Mundo is a great smoke...full bodied, rich and a decent value!
first time in my life i had a dream about an object.
i've been experiencing many weird emotions every since i purcahsed this "phone".
i'm starting to understand the religious element that comes with owning apple products.
Siri has possessed you!
what saying made it all around the country?.
the ones that were passed around, word of mouth.. for example.
"donations basis proves jehovah is behind the work!".
"it will be such a privelege to sit down with Moses, David and Noah to hear first hand their accounts of faithfulness"
"even if the system continues beyond our death, have we not benefited from living the "pure religion"?"
"I have already picked out the house I will be living in after Armageddon!"
regarding what some have said here about the wt being a false prophet.. i would like to make my point regarding the wt not being a false prophet... so please, if you can be patient enough to read this, at least try to understand what i am getting at.. a false prophet is one who, according to deuteronomy, makes a false prediction of the future and claims that the prediction came from god, or in other words claiming that 'god has said he will do a certain thing at a certain time' etc.. for example, hypothetically speaking, if someone had claimed: "god will bring about the end of the world in 2010", they would have been proven to be a false prophet, obviously.
but, as an example, imagine a man who claimed the position of a prophet of god, (as moses did, because although he was not the type of prophet that predicted the future.. he was still a prophet or spokesman for god) and that he had publicised worldwide, according to his interpretation of a (for example) prophecy found in the book of isaiah, that the world would end in 2010.. and he had also stated that he was not saying that god will end the world in that year.. but only that there was biblical evidence that god might do so.
that would clearly have been a mistake.
TQO...the difference between Moses and the WTS is that Moses NEVER spoke on God's behalf something that didn't happen or come to be. He may have made human mistakes, but he never falsely prophesied. If you want to liken the WTS to Moses, then you have completely missed the mark in discerning truth from falsehood.
edit: JWF...we must have posted at the same time!
i'm an atheist but i've recently been curious enough to sit quietly on the hard wooden pews of a local and very simple english village church - it was sweet, humble and surprisingly calming.. now, how exactly is this monstrosity supposed to motivate anyone?!.
what does it tell us about the mentality of the religions leaders?
does this look like a place of worship?
Is it my imagination or does that first pic of the KH posted look like a mobile home?...oh well, at least it has windows!
i have relayed how "broken" my mother is when it comes to reasoning on her beliefs as a jw...and my not believing the jw story any longer as an ex-jw.
it seems to be a common story of cognitive dissonance, etc., etc,.
now comes a classic new angle that really has me scratching my head.
Exactly WTW!...

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and thoughts! I am convinced that my wife may be the only key to "unlocking" the JW mindset in my mom. She wants to try and get through to mom, but she is concerned it could end up blowing up in her face. The one thing that has crystallized is how my wife feels about the JW religion...and it isn't good.
Wha Happened...Alvin Lee does kick on guitar!!
