I remember going to the DC's, seeing them as one big meat market. Honestly I think that the younger generation only liked going cause they could meet some fresh meat. I know thats why I liked going. I mean for real. I remember girls would buy outfits a month or 2 in advance just for this occasion. my opinoin is that they werent wanting to look that good for God.

Is accepting a whole blood transfusion a DF offense?
by lavendar in.
......or have they changed that rule...and made it a "conscience matter"??
thanks for your help..... lavendar .

Since the whole blood fractions rule came out, it got me really wondering.
from a witness standpoint
Why is it wrong to store you OWN blood to use later?
But, its ok to do dialysis.
I mean isnt it basicly the same thing. Blood is comming out of your body and going back in.

I had the same feelings as you. How could someone preach about love when they are clearly not putting the full def. of Love to use.
but, you braver then I. I doubt I would ever put a letter in.

I faded back in summer 2007.
There were the things that get alot of people IE: dates and contradictions. But, what got to me most was the lack of love. Which is supposed to be the identifying mark.
As I told one elder. I said the witnesses have a great amount of affection for the ones that "spiritually strong". But they all but outcast the "spiritually weak". I said to me that makes no sense. He acutally agreed with me. But he said, that is just people's opinions and I should not blame the organization for people's imperfections. I said, but where do you think they learn to act a certain way and come to their conclusions. If the organization really wanted to change this problem they could.
That was pretty much it.
To me the witness are the most judgmental/hipacritical people on earth.
I took the elder's advice and I took a look at the bigger picture. Sometimes you have to step back from something to realy see what the problem is. When I stepped back from the organization. I saw a MAJOR flaw.
Everybody is different though.

JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES RULES, RUINED JA RULE'S CHILDHOOD
by WTNightmare00 inrap star ja rule blames his familys jehovahs witness roots for ruining his childhood.. .
the im real hitmaker reveals he was never allowed to celebrate birthdays or christmases growing up - and even playing with other children was a problem for his strict grandparents, who helped raise him.. .
as a result, the rapper, real name jeffrey atkins, goes overboard when his children celebrate birthdays and special occasions.. .

You wanna know what Carl Malone calls rap. Crap. Carl Malone calls rap crap.
No offense, but im gonna have to agree with burger on this and say that JaRule is a horrible artist. I would never buy any of his cds.
I agree that being DF'd at 12 is harsh.
But from reading your posts he talks about having such a horrible childhood. I just think of all the poor families who just cant celebrate those holidays, because they dont have the means. I mean, most of us went through what he went through. I can say it wasnt torture. It wasnt great, but I got through it. I think of a lot more difficult ways to spend a childhood.
Im not sayin I dont agree with him. just saying I dont think we need to put him on a pedistal.

I need some advice...my first post!
by Dehliah ini've been around for awhile, but never registered for fear of giving my personal information (yes, that's how much the borg scares me.
i was raised in the org, and left when i was 18. i realized that every religion firmly believed that they were correct, and that forced me to re-evaluate the religion on its merits, as opposed to my insistent belief.
needless to say, i saw the man behind the curtain.

Hey there Dehliah,
As your background is unique, unfortunatly, its not an uncommon reflection. Im sorry for your loss. I myself have lost a close family member. Its never easy and it makes it even harder when the witnesses are involved. Also, since he was a person that could understand you as he had a witness background, it makes it even harder. So, if you ever need to chat. We're here. Not just saying that either. Send me a pm anytime. Or anyone else.
O and Welcome aboard.

JW's are the biggest hypocrites ever!!!
by lovelylil inso this is the deal.
i am completely fumming mad over this.
you all know how the jdubs do not associate with worldly people and are always saying that the "worldly" people will be destroyed and only jw's are worthy to live.

I just wanted to chime in because of how strongly I feel about this subject as well.
a couple weeks ago the P.O(seems like a good man) came by my house, wanting to encouage me cause i hadnt been to a meeting in months.
He asked me what went wrong and if there was anything he could do.
I told him I was tired of dealing with the hypocrisy, It is taught on the platform to LOVE one another, but that is where it stopped. Told him there was no love at the cong. He told me I wasnt the only one who felt that way. Then he asked me again, if there was anything he could do about it. I said you cant, because its not a cong. thing, its a organization thing. Until changes are made at HQ. This problem will never be resolved.

New light re: baptism?
by behemot ini heard rumors that "new light" is coming re: baptism.. it seems that those who got baptised without inner conviction or real dedication and / or cooled off afterwards, could get re-baptised.. anyone else heard something similar?.

Iv heard of this happening before. Not sure that it is "New Light". I have heard of people getting rebaptized because they werent really doing it for the right reasons the first time.
My question is, if you did get baptised before you were ready and consider it not valid, then could you get your baptism annuled/voided legaly?
