  Charitable Planning Brochure

  sorry if this has been covered and i missed it but i just wondered if anyone had got hold of a copy of the brochure 'charitable planning to benefit kingdom service worldwide' that was plugged in the nov 1st wt?.

  it astounds me that(in the light of the scathing criticism the wt society is getting) that they dare to publish a booklet designed solely for begging purposes.. anyone with a copy please scan us a few gems to keep us suitably disgusted.. what about the title of the accompanying article?.

  'the blessing of jehovah-that is what makes rich'should be re-phrased 'the donations of the living and especially the charitably planned donations of the dead-make the wt society rich'.

  Never stop trying to get them out

  i know there are people on this board who despite earnest efforts to reach the hearts of friends or family still in the wt org feel they have to give up or that they are flogging a dead horse.. someone very close to me is preparing herself to leave.

  her heart has already left.

  she finally sees the true colours of the organisation she has faithfully followed for over 30 years.. but it has not been easy or swift.

  Literature Price List at your Hall?

  my mum was telling me today that her congregation has a list of guide prices for the literature so that brothers have an idea what they should be contributing.

  she has been told it was put up in response to request.. i am curious to find out if this is general practice or what?.

  Temple of God book

  Actions I regret

  i don't know about you but there are a lot of things i regret doing as a witness that i really would like to apologise to the people concerned.. to my brother flabbycabby who is a newbie to this forum i'd like to say sorry for following the elders advice and telling you you were not welcome over my doorstep.

  you were in a terrible state having just being disfellowshipped ,finished with your wife, estranged yourself from your baby son and a few days earlier had taken an overdose in my flat where you were staying as you were homeless.

  i had received a visit from the elders.

  Embarrasing Moments

  just so certain ladies do not feel alone in cringedom i will confess my red-cheekers !.

  i was a well-developed 15 yr old getting too volupteous for my school uniform ( ok too fat then) and the zip had bust on my only school skirt.

  my mum replaced it using an old zip from another garment which happened to be quite a bit longer than a normal skirt zip.an unmarried brother came to visit one morning and was sat in our living room having a cuppa while i was frantically getting ready for school.

  Are they demons?

  since i left the org.

  i have read some mind-boggling books on subjects such as mind-control, witchcraft, demonism, and conspiracy theories.. i obviously do not believe all i read but never-the-less have come across interesting real-life experiences that have made me wonder.. recently i read david icke's "the biggest secret" and found his theories on shape-shifting lizards ruling the world bizarre to say the least.. but something david icke said stopped me in mid-sneer.he said replace the lizards with demons if that was how you wanted to think of it.. it reminded me of a book i once borrowed from library about a young woman who was possessed by demons and described their shifting appearance as horrifically ugly or transforming to absolute visions of male beauty.. so if satan and his demons do rule this world as we were taught is it so unbelievable that they might possess influental people and certain individuals with psychic perception would be able to catch glimpses of them shape-shifting?.

  anyone else familiar with icke's ideas and material?

  Hair-raising Tale!

  let's have some fun.did you find out some juicy gossip about a witness that you are just dying to blab?.

  here's one from me.. i went to a hairdressing salon for the first time and the stylist was a camp male who never stopped chatting from the second he got his gesticulating paws on my scruffy mop.. my mum who is a devout jw was sitting reading a mag waiting for me.. next thing he's telling us about his gay male friend who is a bit down because he is having an affair with a jw.

  to make things worse he is married with kids (the brother not the gay friend).. stifling my shock and trying not to look at my mum who is staring wildly and unseeingly at her mag i asked his name or address and although he didn't know the name he told us his street and district!.
