  JW Ex-Wife taking daughter out of school for holidays

  when growing up, i don't remember being taken out of school for much, but my ex-wife takes my daughter out for so many holidays.

  i just found out that she took her out thursday and friday for valentines day.

  is this even legal?

  I know in Ontario, Canada if a child misses school because of religious reasons it is not counted against them for their attendance records at least.

  i have spent the last 7 hours, deleting emails.

  i had over 7000, when i started.

  I got groceries, tidied the house and hosted a birthday party for 10 adults and 8 kids.

  LMAO poor dad does he have any idea of how hard it is to take kids to the meetings? Here is your chance to teach her to scream every time a kingdom melody plays.

  my dissfelowshipped hub not happy about our child visiting grandma

  i have finally got grandma to agree to seeing her grandchild , and hubby does not want it , he thinks that if she cant be bothered to make time for her then i should not chase it up , this is his mother , im not a dub , i can see his point but think it important to try and keep in contact .

  any advice?

  JW grandparents will believe it is their duty to "save" their grandkids. Even if they don't think they are being harmful to the child, they are. In many little ways they will confuse your child.
  
  Help your husband and stand with him in his fight against JW's. He needs your support more than your child needs a grandparent who will reject him/her at some point in the future.
  
  
  My 8 year old still doesn't not understand why his grandparents are "mad" at him. The pain he feels breaks my heart, please do not expose your little one to that pain.

  What positive things can you take from being raised JW?

  rather than getting too down about wasting the best years of my life in a cult .

  i have a really great imagination.

  you have to have one to get through five hours of meetings per week at a young age.

  Being able to speak in public. I recently spent some time working a booth in the mall to promote a group
  I volunteer with. I joked with the ladies that it was about time my time in a mind control cult benefited me.
  
  All the skills I learned from informal witnessing are making it much easier for me to spread my apostasy.

  Multiple Sclerosis

  i have a young sibling with ms. does anyone here know of any current treatment that hasn't been published yet?

  i had heard at one point that there was a blood pressure medicine that was proving hopeful.

  my bro is ready to stop copaxone, even though we all worry that this will eventually cause a relapse.

  Diet and exercise helped my mom. She started showing signs of it in her mid 30's so fairly young as well. She is very careful about preservatives and additives. She started doing exercises first in the pool and then on to any exercise program that encourages balance and stretching.
  
  We also considered medicinal mariguana for pain but she hasn't used it yet, that I know of.
  
  She has had a few relapse over the years but most of them are brought on by stress or illness.
  
  She also avoids some stores and building with certain kinds of lighting. Not really sure why she just says they bother her.

  i had been going there since we were married, and ben had grew up in that congregation.

  I can honestly say I know how you feel, the following is a copy of an email a close friend sent to me. I changed the names for their privacy.

  After being up all night thinking about our conversation.
  I keep going back to one point, and that is you've become very self centred, and selfish. Its true that the seperating work has already started. All you had to say for yourself was...you went on line, read apostate crap and so now your a better person. whatever.
  In reality all youve done is put yourself above Jehovah, in that your trust is not in him, but in yourself!
  
  Its sad that Satan put hardly no effert into gainning your loyalty.
  What future do those boys have now? Do you want your children to only know this system? Who honestly cares whether or not our kids see college? I dont even want XXXXXXX to start kingergarden...I Want the new system to come, Im praying that my kids dont have to strugle the way Justin and I do just to get by. Because I do love them, not because Im affraid.
  
  
  So if your choise is to leave Jehovah, then youve already left me... If I feel this betraid and this hurt and angree with you....How could you posibly think Jehovah is still lessioning to your prayers? Do you think Jehovah is proud of you?
  
  As a friend, Im going to say smarten up. As your sister Im throghing a bucket of water on you and telling you, your thinking is wrong and you should know better given your being raised in the truth...Im willing to help you come back, do whatever it takes to win my friend back, you know were i am.
