Dilemma - What can I offer my wife if she leaves the witnesses?
by truthseeker inthis week, my wife called me an "opposing husband" - because i stopped believing that jehovah chose the watchtower society as his sole channel on earth.. .
my wife knows about the society, it's flip-flop on doctrines, child sex abuse scandals, including the un, but none of that matters.. .
she doesn't read the litertaure, not even the bible.. .

Elders, please know my many dificulties for the past 16 years and the emotional toll it has taken on me. I found this site at my doctors doctors direction as a place to learn and vent frustrations built up in me for years, and I am sorry some of the language was bad as the word chioce. A two week inense manic high here with way more freedeom to spead just go me going. After that though my manic dove deep and that is found here too, and it is scary even to me..Very little of either type of text written is even remembered by me. Scary time.
very few calls have been made on me while expressing doubts for two years. and no offer to study with me has been offered, even my phone is silent. If this plan is to drive me away, it may be working well. a study to relay the ground work for the wonderful new light or CO and the Society might help me put it all back together. But right now I am so dissalusioned and depressed because truths I had my whole life have been replaced with ones I can not understandd, and it is driving me mad. There is good information here, but you do have to be on guard against apostate teaching, and never promote falsehoods..
By the way,Coaster is an annomyous username. Many with access to it can add content, but this is all done in private with no names used unless the poster wants to. What elder wants to be asked if he and wife enjoys oral sex in the privacy of thier own bed? Or what R rated movies they watch at home? If they have ever had a bit too much to drink at home. Or when younger, did they masturbate in private or in public? I am betting privacy is the key part of all these points because a screen name Coaster is not me, but a figurehead, a private one.

I told a lie
by purplesofa ini very rarely lie, but i took off work for personal reasons, and that was not a good enough explanation so i told an acceptable lie which no one really gives a rats ass or not.. there was a time when the telling the truth about eveything was important to me.
i thought it made a difference.
sometimes i suffered for telling the truth.

What generation witness are you?
by Bonnie_Clyde ini'm a 4th generation witness.
however, i have jw cousins with grown grandchildren (that makes 6 generations), and two of them are married--all in the "truth.
" if they have kids, they will be 7th generation.

There is no such thing as generation. If there were, I would be a fourth.

drew and canadian couple, I went back to find this thread. I have been badly kicking my wifes crutch for about two years now and must stop or leave. Drew, have you posted more about this subject? Bobbi, how "hands off" did you husband get as far as meetings etc. Did you just go solo for a long time? You two canadians could do a blog or talk show about this.

Daniel-P's Convention Experience
by daniel-p inwell, i'm here at the convention, and boy is it a dozer.
all the speakers blur together - they all sound like the same exact person with their superficial emphasis on the "key points.
" today was a tad juicy, with the "stay away from the demon-enhanced apostates" symposium and the "you don't need an education to scrub toilets, jerk" talk as well.

I asked my 65 year old elder dad just how many times would he continue to believe directions given to him by a close friend if just about every single direction was so incorrect, you were always getting lost using the friends directions. I sounded better when I said it in real time.
