4am in the uk, and i was jolted awake by a dream about my mother dying, she is not in good health.
i felt overwhelmingly sad that if this happens, she will die in sadness over me.
and also very upset because she is my mum and i want her to love me and be interested in my life and that just isn't the case any longer.. i realise i am 'luckier' than some on here because at least she speaks to me.

Oh, poppy, i can feel you so much. im not out yet, but sometimes i go crazy fearing exactly the situation you experience. i think my mum will speak to me still, but i cant see her in pain about me either. it destroys me. my lifelong friends, my everything including my wife is in it.
its incredible difficult but i know i cant live in this lie forever either.

you can use it on jws again. thats what we do here. jws get a mask and actually can tell what they really think. in their normal life (im included) this isnt possible.
i think it would be a shocking experience to know the inner feelings and opinions even of jws who are afraid of forums. i believe theres a lot acting going on.

i dont fit in that scheme very well. even as a JW i always felt questioning and fresh thinking is a good thing. i never understood ppl who really DONT CARE what they're told by others. Example: so many ppl think homeopathy is a nice way to cure without hard medicine because someone says so without any proof. They buy it and use it without any idea HOW it works. Some ppl even think its just "herbal medicine". I dont want to judge anyone who uses it. Its their own decision. But i just dont get it why cant explain why they use it. When i use something i normally know why i use it. I can tell someone why i personally think it works and why i like it. Many ppl just dont care.
But i have to confess that i made a lot of years in my life a exception to that for a bunch of guys in NYC. Weired. I dont understand myself.

the text was addressed to "paul".
my wife read the text, and jokingly asked me if i was "pretending to be paul".. i answered her, "paul?

folks i know what it was like to be raised in this religion, but i never knew what it was like to be a convert.
lately i have come in contact with some jw's, they know nothing about my background.
i have asked them so very tricky questions, and they have flat out bare faced lied.
i would love to hear it too :/ but i understand junction.

about the revelation book. yes it drives me nuts too. and with the sidepaper with the changes its even more annoying. and how wrong it is to read the book without the changes now. lol.
the rev book does not contain real knowledge. its all the time only:
1. read small part of scripture
2. twist the scripture until it applys to the WTS and tell'em
3. give no proof WHY it means what it means, give no references, give no further insight
4. next topic
and NOONE notices it! its incredible always. sitting numb in their seats, reading the paragraph, question, answer almost ín the same words as it is in the paragraph. sometime ago we had a occasional question because a sister found a little contradiction (something with the annointed and some dates). it wasnt answered by the elder - he didnt know. i answered it according to the JW belief in the end (twisted crap, no biblical proof). the elder was happy, next one. there was no proof that that what i answered made any sense at all, but noone questioned it. but this occasion was still the biggest question ive seen in many months. that sister is still able to think a bit.

but its so sad that so many who are in are totally blind to that stuff and even think the september km is a loving blessing from god (including my wife who gets upset and calls me a god-hater for showing her scripture which encourages what the WTS discourages).
since i woke up i feel so disgusted over so many things. the circuit overseer near worshipping. "what a precious special week it is!" "gifts in men - such a blessing". happiness over the sep km. i realized that on the convention nearly nothing was said. it was just three days of guilt, no real bible study, no real help for the faith. at some point it sometimes sounds like they dont even need the bible. its just a little tool on the side. what is refreshing when you're told 3 days not to go for education, dont use the internet, dont have own opinions. dont, dont, dont.
at least the bible says the truth: they will beat their own brothers. the lost son was welcomed back with a big celebration. dfed once who come back get an judgement by humans and an annoucement where it is forbidden to clap for.

the last time i went on the field service was around the very early 90's.
i have a genuine question for any jw that are active in the door to door work still.. i lived for finding the person that wanted to debate things, i would always be the one to call on the local atheist, vicar, etc etc.
and would hammer home all that was had learnt and research myself with the wts literature of course.
i think 99% of the ppl are noninformed as always. nobody looks up info to destroy jw arguments if they arent affiliated to them.
my wife is still on the inside.
sometimes i dont care about that or about the wtbts's nonsense.
and then some days, i wake up and i have all this anger inside.

as the jw i used to be i wouldnt read further than the first "overcome".
its way to obvious that its "apostate lies" all over :| the questions need to be more "householder like" and the answer need make some kind of "sense" like WT speak.
we want to plant a seed not a whole mammoth tree...
edit: to make it clear: in my opinion it has to written in such a way that 1 of 10 jws actually put it in their bible for ministry :) tough task though.
