  Does anyone have a working link for Preparing for Child custody

  i am about 3 months away from going to court with my 'x' over our children, and i would like to know what this booklet says.. .

  i have tried the links by searching the site but all are dead.

  Science and the bible

  i read an interesting point the other day, but can not for the life of me remember where!..

  but the idea and statement is why creationist or anyone uses uses science to 'prove bible' events.

  the reasoning went like this.... by taking science evidence and trying to apply to to a biblical events you are in effecting stating that you value the opinion of science rather than the bible.. if the bible is the word of god, then why every try and marry up what science says about biblical events.. if you need to science to justify what went on in the bible thur archaeology proof or scientific eveidnence, the you do not accept the bible as the ultimate authority, as you are using 'mans' authority to try and validate word gods.. i thought i was an interesting point.. .

  NOah's flood - free choice etc, Need some counter answers

  although i don't believe any more, noah's ark was always my favourite story (sick really!

  ) anyway.... i want some counter argument to this problem i see with the story.

  gods words, ..he is going to bring a flood to get rid of all the wicked people.. god gave noah dimension for the ark.. so before noah built the ark, god already knew that no one but noah and crew would survive.

  Faith by definition?

  when i was a jw i never really thought about what faith is, i always had the hebrew scripture and kinda recited it as my definition.. now faith is understood differently by jw then it is from other religions from what i have seen.. the wt comment on the later verse of heb .

  at hebrews 11:1, the greek word translated "evident demonstration" (e legkhos) conveys the idea of presenting evidence to demonstrate something, particularly something contrary to what appears to be the case.

  positive or concrete evidence makes clear what previously went undiscerned, thereby refuting what only appeared to be the case.

  Why God permits wickedness..the argument and counter logic

  when i was a pioneer i used to get the comment a lot, as i am sure most here have.. my stock answer was the analogy.... wt 2002 10/1 page 7 as an example.

  imagine a father allowing his child to go thru a painful operation in-order to get better...hence why god permits suffering.

  anyway i used to trot this out without any counter arguments.. even when i left, it still seemed a reasonable explanations, then something clicked.

  Life on the doors now

  the last time i went on the field service was around the very early 90's.

  i have a genuine question for any jw that are active in the door to door work still.. i lived for finding the person that wanted to debate things, i would always be the one to call on the local atheist, vicar, etc etc.

  and would hammer home all that was had learnt and research myself with the wts literature of course.

  Alternate dates

  i am wondering as the wts is so keen on making 'times and half a time' apply to this and that scripture, i am wondering if anyone else has had the energy need to use 'biblical supposed prophecy times that are completely different, like 607 dogma, can it be made different to arrive at a point in history that could be claimed similar calamities.. .

  i am not sure how clear i am making myself.. has anyone used dating within the bible to arrive at dates about the end of the world or armageddon before the 20th century.

  and references would be great.. steve.
