  cold-callers will be banned from thousands of homes in north wales from next week onwards.. safety groups have grown increasingly concerned about the risk to elderly residents from door-to-door salesmen.. as a result, estates comprising hundreds of homes in denbighshire and conwy are to become off-limits to cold callers in a pilot scheme, to be rolled out across the force's central division if it proves successful.. the warnings apply to all cold-callers, from salesmen to jehovah's witnesses.. signs are to be put up around the trewen and mytton park areas of denbigh and bryn newydd in prestatyn, and parts of rhos on sea, abergele and colwyn heights.. and warnings will be placed on residents' doors to alert cold callers they are unwelcome.. the scheme is backed by the areas' community safety partnerships, made up of groups including police, neighbourhood watch groups, social services and trading standards.. bryan jennings, district co-ordinator for lower denbigh neighbourhood watch, said: "the main idea is to stop bogus callers coming round.. "at the moment, anybody can call round, which can often be intimidating for elderly people.

  Hilarious quote tonight to one of my "ex" friends...

  so tonight, i have one of my buddies over that is a fader, and we're sitting around eating some smoked pork and bbq beans that i made over the weekend.

  one of our "conditional friends" called me and asked if he could pick up his mail, that he had forwarded to my house.

  you see our former friend has a credit card and cell phone that he doesn't want his dub parents knowing about, so he had it forwarded to my place.

  i don't have access to the watchtower library right now (i've only got a mac) but i remember laughing my arse off when i read that in an old questions from readers.

  apparently tipping your hat to a lady is considered demonic because it shows deference to the lesser of the sexes, a man putting himself below the woman and other rambling "reasoning" about its origins in medieval times and such garbage.

  Politeness has always been against the rules. I always thought it was bad mannered to go to someone's house without being invited. Just show up and expect them to stop what they are doing and listen to someone tell them what they are doing wrong. I don't think they have ever been big on politeness or manners.

  Also, when they are "spying" or "stalking" you, its the same thing. They just sort of "jump out of the bushes at you". Follow you to a restaurant, follow you to a friends house, come to your house after dark to announce your JC.

  It's all rudeness...which is a tactic of intimidation. It's manipulation.

  according to the wikipedia article on this vision(yes i know its not known for its scholarly merits), the angel falling 70 rungs off the ladder represents the babylonish captivity, according to one jewish interpretation.

  my question is, how long to modern jews believe they were held in captivity in babylon?

  We still have the trappings of babylon in our society today. Babylon the great is much more than merely false religion. It is the entire system of politics, religion, sorcery (modern medicine; pharmakeia). scriptures tell us that it will remain so until Christ returns. So obviously he did not return in 1914 or these bonds would not still be here.
