Yup, I consider myself born twice. The first time into ignorance. The second time into reality. And the second time, just like a newborn infant, I had to learn of the world around me, who I was and what I wanted. I highly recommend being born twice.

Are you are "born-in-the troof" JW?
by mustang inif so, you never had a chance to properly develop psychologically.
you do not have the mental foundation to make a dedication.. .

And sweetstuff, have you been plagued by dreams like this for long? That is some deep stuff you dreamed. I know mine was, I noticed when I faced a lot of it it has cooled. May you have that same peace. Sorry you had that mess in your sleep. Better there than in real life. I hear that our mind releases all we cannot deal with in our sleep. Or maybe not stuff we cannot deal with, but stuff we need to process....What say you?
Nope, I dont' really remember having too many dreams or nightmares about the wts and armageddon. So this was kind of out of left field. Thing is, I really do not believe in the bible at all. So, its ironic that I would dream up such a scenario. I suppose maybe some deep seeded memory of how I interpreted armageddon as a child might be the cause. I think the fact that I didn't remember it until later was a good thing, it obviously didn't have enough of an impact on my mind to be the first thing I thought of this morning.
I did have a conversation with my ex spouse yesterday regarding his 'renewed belief' in the WTS and how he needed to face reality. Maybe the dream was a result of that conversation. Not sure. It sounds like you've been plagued with alot of the freaky deeky dreams. Glad to hear you are sleeping well now.
And Tyrone, your balls are very important. It seems that you have alot of resentment towards your father and his lack of true affection and understanding. Next time, try to dream you cut his off, hand them to him and tell him now he knows how it feels. You might wake up with a little smile. hehe

Questions about Alpha Males
by yknot inrandy's thread got me thinking about those considered 'alpha males'.. i have never personally met a jw male who i would consider 'alpha'..... come to think of it i really haven't met any man that would fit that description.
maybe male and female views differ.. what are some of the traits of jw alpha males?
how do they compare to their worldly counterparts?.

Tijkmo: most people suck... and rarely in a good way LMAO, I'm guessing Tijkmo is of the "spitters are quitters" club. Damn, no emots on firefox. Sheesh. Most people don't suck, until you get to know them really really well.

ROFL at their quoting the Catholic Encyclopedia. Too funny! The very religion they have taught for years is the leader of Babylon the Great and now, hey, they said something somewhat good about us, let's quote that. That is truely gag worthy. How can active dubs not see how hypocritical that is??? Yeah, "get out of her", unless she does some serious a$$ kissing, in which case, feel free to read and quote her as a reputable source. LMAO!

Are there any Americans who moved to Australia here?
by Lady Zombie inor does anyone know someone who has moved from america to australia that i could get in touch with?.
i'm wondering how difficult a move would be, how much $$ it takes, etc.. i know the australian government won't consider granting immigration unless the candidate has job skills and/or education.
this is not a problem.

... and learn to like Vegemite on toast.
I've tried it, Lady, don't do it! They will tell ya to spread it thin on toast, really thin. It's still disgusting! Like eating tar on toast.

What is there to center your life now?...........I just don't care about most things anymore...................oompa
The center of my life now, is simply enjoying every moment I have, knowing no one is promised a tomorrow, having fun with my kids, making time for those I love. I think if you stop looking for the "meaning" or "rudder" in your life and just focus on enjoying the small things in life, you'll soon have the answers you seek.
