  so i have been seeing this great "worldly" guy for about 8 months.

  he has been married twice, and i have been married once for 13 years.

  we both had bad marital experiences.

  sorry thomas 15 you near newbie....welcome!......i was very nearly married/divorced twice recently.......my first wife went pretty much insane and her story should be on oprah...i tried so hard but could not save the marriage of many years.......now i have changed...i woke up to jw and my wife is so hardcore dub it is frightening....just like i frighten her.....so people change and if this marriage of many years fails, just what does that indicate about my character. IMO two failed marriages indicate NOTHING......not even bad luck.....FOUR would be bad luck...lol

  as to your first post....i agree with Keyser........there is an equal chance that SHE is the one having the most "evening fun"......and she could "stick him with the bills" if it ends in divorce.....to think otherwise is probably a bit chauvinistic and JW .....and in........"the poor weaker vessel"............oompa

  what cow want to be "bought"...free is good as BOTH are free!......you throw the "dirty" in and it all gets even better...........stigma's go hand in hand with judging and no matter what you do you will always be judged for SOMETHING as there are so many damm judgers out there.......now kids adjust for sure, but it would be nice if they like the bloke for sure....that would be high up on my "move in or not" priorities.......however....you have the lease anyway, and they are best not to break...so why not take it slow?........thats almost NEVER is a bad idea.....oomps

  as far as god/satan type a thing.... a. i don't think i believe the bible is from god.. b. ying/yang type a thing.

  god and satan are equal in power and god owns heaven and satan owns earth.

  god can't do anything about suffering, etc because they are equal in power.. c. we go to heaven after we die.. see?

  for me it was when my elder dad put brusies on my arm, drug me down the hallway making me hit my head and broke my finger which resulted in surgery...and then he blamed it all on me!!!!

  made me go to the meeting with my cast all druged up on pain killers and tell everyone that asked me what happened that it was an accident.

  penalties for saying what you actually think/feel/believe......being punished for freedom of thought and speech should be reserved for cruel dictatorships and other harsh governments......not a loving faith of any sort.........i feel so much more freedom now.....friends be damned......oompa

  7 v13.... broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it.. whereas narrow is the gate leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.

  Nark...regarding your first post......i find it just as disturbing that a resurrection for judgement would mean bringing sinners back to life to judge them and kill them again or send them to hell?

  caba, on this one i actually disagree. it makes no sense to me that if jah is jesus father that he would ever use his actual name in prayer...i would never call my dad, who i am close with "jerry"......much closer terms of endearment and respect are expressed without using the actual name......i even told wt this in a letter once....that "it makes since he would not have used in in prayer".........

  YET they put a picture of jesus praying in the WT with the caption "JESUS USED THE DIVINE NAME IN PRAYER"!!!!!!........they well know that not a single scripture supports him ever using it....and they also know that not a single scripture in any ancient manuscript IN THE ENTIRE WORLD contains even a single "jehovah/yhwh".......

  here's the real simple version of the complicated doctrine of when jesus supposedly returned and the last days arrived/ended/started.

  william miller said that jesus' return would be in 1844.

  (see the great disappointment at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/great_disappointment ) people who believed what he said were known as "millerites.

  i remember when i was 10 years old (that was 15 years ago), some jw brother in our congregation talked to me and he said he can't wait for us to be perfect in the paradise.

  i asked him how can we become perfect all of a sudden since sin is "stained" into us.

  he said that's because satan and demons won't be around anymore.

  i was that one way to increase my field service time for me and my wife was by standing at a truck stop and hand out tapes to truckers in the early mornings.

  this is the same lot that is frequented by drug dealers and hookers.

  another time, while studying, i said i did not understand the blood issue.
