we've been unable to reach you at home .
When I was a JW, my health was bad on several different occasions.
I was allowed by the elders to write letters instead of going from door to door.
I'm sure that is all it is. Someone wanting to count time.
I hope she answers you or you at least make her think.
You never know what may do the trick.

my son called me yesterday, first time in probably 6 weeks, because he lost his car keys, the car is in my name, so i had to get another set from the dealership.
anyways, it doesn't really matter what he called about, it was just in 6 weeks he only calls because he needs something, not a peep before that (very hurtful).
a brother drove him to my office and it was quittin time so i went outside with him and gave him the keys, i was hurt and didn't say much to him.
We'll be waiting to hear how he reacts to the new development.

i used to be the piano player at the kingdom hall (before they made the halls play tapes/cd's).
i had no idea that whenever i played song 72, i was doing a song by queen.
queen's song "lazing on a sunday afternoon" was on their 4th album "night at the opera", the same album that had "bohemian rhapsody".
It IS the SAME song! That is so cool! I hope they get in trouble.

i'm not exactly sure how to calculate the memorial date.
i'm aware that one year back in the 90s, the society actually was off the memorial date by one day.
as i came out of the organization, the brother who left with me was talking to me about it and said 'i remember one year it was off by a day.
Actually, according to the REAL Jewish calendar, it was about a MONTH off, as is the Christian church's Easter this year. i guess no one is getting it right.
I can't figure out how to cut and paste, but the calendar at the sites (if they work) says it will be in April.

the memorial is supposed to be held in nisan 14, jewish calendar.
that day is april 19, 2008. why is the memorial being held this coming saturday march, 22?

I don't think all the "hype" about the date is ridiculous at all since the STUPID JWs have always made a big deal about the "fact" that they observe it on the correct date! THAT is what the flack is about.
As for when we are supposed to "do this in remembrance of Me" THAT is supposed to be "as oft as you do it" in other words, as often as we like.
The JWs are the ones who make fools of themselves by claiming to do it correctly on the correct date. I used to be so proud on memorial night, thinking we were doing it on Nisan 14th like the Jewish calendar. What a crock of crap, just like all the other crap.
AND THAT folks is what all the FLAK is about. Once again, the JWs are WRONG!!!! Big surprise.

i still cannot fathom, to this day, that of all the people "god" supposedly made (and considering the jews were not the first race), that he would be so biased to chose the jews as "his chosen people".
Have you even read the Bible? Do you realize that our Savior was a Jew? That God picked a people to bring our Savior through their blood-line? Of course we believe in those books. Our Savior lived by them.
It doesn't matter to me what Jews believe. My faith doesn't rest on that. And besides more Jews are coming to realize that Christ was the promised Messiah every day.

for me i think if it wasn't for the fact i'm gay, i'd still be an active witness.
this year, even my mum has said that it wouldn't be "appropriate" if i was to go to the memorial.
now the memorial is something i've never missed, so that kind of stings a bit.
When I learned that in other religions you are allowed to think for yourself and disagree with the beliefs AND I learned how WRONG the JWs are on most things I got out.
So if not for the REAL TRUTH, I would still be in the FAKE "TRUTH"...

was round my mates last night and was surfing utube, what the hell was that brenda lee thinking of crashing the memorial and chewing gum like a demented cow.
it was painful to watch.
my mate, a never witness was disgusted that someone could show so musch disrespect whatever your viewpoint.
I wish I had the guts to go to the Memorial and gracefully, politely take the emblems.
I am just still too nervous and have too many bad memories to do it. Been out 22 years. LOL
I don't like the way she did it, but maybe she had to screw up her courage that way. Who knows. She definitely didn't help "the cause."

for me it was the tuesday night book study.
i didn't like reading, opening/closing with prayers and the uncomfortable, close, claustrophobic setting it was in.
this meeting was the first one to be binned when i started to fade.

I also miss that ONE song. Here I am, Send Me. I can still hear it. I meant it with all my heart and still do. But now I have a better message to share.
I hated the Tuesday night book study even when I was gung-ho for the rest. They were always so convoluted and involved. So many dates to remember. It was like a history class which I hated at school (until I grew up).
But I have good memories of the assemblies, after the sun went down in the evenings, standing to sing and thinking I was with all these people and we all agreed on these important issues. And sorry if I am just too corny, but I loved the dramas. I still like live theatre even if it is just our local amateurs.
