I don't think he was an egomaniac, but when he started interpreting prophecies in ways nobody else had thought of, he probably began to think that he must be something special. This feeling would have been reinforced by his growing band of followers. Most likely, he sincerely believed that he was God's mouthpiece, although that's really no excuse.

More Than You "MAY" Know
by QUANTUM ini thought that maybe some may want to see another side of the argument of god verses secularism / evolution verses creationism.
im not interested in the fact that many have lost their religious fervor and become atheists or invented their own belief system, or still accept the bible but with a different twist.
my intention is to make as strong of an argument as i can for the existence of a particular god, who i believe we all once knew and may be privileged to know again.

Dr. Spock and Spanking Kids
by dobby inthere have been several posts about the way witnesses discipline their kids lately, this prompts me to ask.... has anyone had the "dr spock quote" thrown in their face by a witness?
i have heard witnesses throw this about for years, but cannot honestly remember ever seeing it in print.
and i have never read any of dr. spock's books.

Does anyone here workout on a regular basis?
by Leander ini just wanted to get a little dialog going with some of the members here who workout.
i know reborn works out quite a bit and i've been doing fairly well as of recently in getting back into a regular exercise regimine.
so far i've worked out everyday for the past 17 days, i usually try to do weight training at least 3-4 times a week and i usually do some cardio everyday.

I'm training for a marathon so I've got great legs (I've been told), but a relatively puny upper body I need to do some weights or something too so I don't look too disproportionate.
