  When, if ever, did you start caring about POLITICS?

  i've said a few times on here that i'm 99% mentally free of jwism, or something similar.

  but i think i may need to back that number down just a bit.. i now believe that this world is all we've got and that,collectively, it matters what we as a species do on this orb if we want to continue to spread our dna indefinitely.

  (some would argue that human extinction would be a good thing, but i'm not in that camp.

  I watched the Watergate trials back when Nixon was getting his ass kicked. 1972-73 I believe. I was 14 or 15 years old then. Worked as a scrutineer for an election then as well. Just applied this week for a job for Elections B.C. for 1 year of employment. (I am semi retired).

  Yes I am not kidding. My alert light started flashing as soon as I clicked and warned me of an intrusion attempt. Sometimes it's just a ping, but I don't want anyone to take any chances.

  Computer is protected but these attacks can be nasty. No need to feel bad. You didn't cause it, and it's running ok. Bill.

  i have really felt a weight off my shoulders since bringing up my first story yesterday, so i would like to tell another story of my life, if for no other reason than to finally talk about it.

  once again sugesstions on how to deal with this trauma is much needed.

  i was dfd at 13 for the first time.

  Thoughts on Rush Limbaugh

  while watching the network's coverage on the election, i kept noticing how the announcers kept talking about what impact the rush limbaugh show might have on the republican vote... they felt his show might sway the votes away from mccain... .

  now, all you conservatives out there, isn't it one of the biggest embarassments you can ever have, to know that rush limbaugh can have an effect on how your party votes?

  if i knew that people thinking like rush limbaugh were voting for my candidate, that would automatically make me vote the other way.. i mean honestly, how can you not be embarrased that your party holds a man such as rush limbaugh in high esteem?

  Which Hotel in VEGAS is your favourite??????

  just been to the bellagio for 6 days - absolutely loved it!.

  visited most of the big hotels - loved the wynn with it's in house ferrari showroom.. venetian was also awe inspiring.

  mandalay bay was impressive for its size - including a 12,000 seat auditorium and an underwater shark experience.. luxor was also amazing and mgm grand is the worlds biggest hotel with over 5000 rooms.. for shopping caezars palace was fantastic - the forum shops were something else!.

  Last time we stayed in Primm Nevada about 20 minutes south. Whiskey Pete's. It was 25 bucks per night. Dirt cheap. It was clean.

  The difference here is that Maher, Olberman, Stewart, Colbert, and the rest don't take themselves so seriously. Limbaugh and that other idiot Beck, actually believes all the bs they go on about.

  The sad part is the Republicans haven't had an original idea since Ronald Reagan. At least he kept religion out of politics for the most part. The debt was under control then if I can remember too.

  Would You Trust A JW To Be Honest More Than The Average Person?

  i know many very honest jws.

  if i had someone do work for me, clean my home, etc.----i'd generally be more at ease with a faithful jw over most others.

  in the matter of housekeeping, i'd think that they might be nosier but i doubt they'd outrightly steal from me.. what's your thought on this subject?.

  No. Especially when I was asked last month to lie to a bank for a Witness. Funny that it's ok to ask someone to lie and do your dirtywork, but not to do your own. Pretty corrupt ! Pitiful as well.

  Edited to say: now that I understand how theocratic warfare works, I do not trust any faith.
