The mag specifically states "images", including crucifixes, and so on. Aren't pictures a type of image?

I told a dumb white guy last week that he was a dumb white guy. I too am mostly white, but not so dumb. Is that a yes or no ? Odd that most of the entertainers I enjoy are "black". Lean more to Democrat. Prefer r and b. Went to an all you can eat buffet restaurant and noticed tons of overweight (read obese) white ppl. So you decide.

If you actually spend even only a small portion of your time in discussion with them, they "win", but if you cut them off before the babble starts- we win. It's a sales pitch, only they are not selling. They are buying-salvation-at least THEY think they are. As centuries go by it will become impossible to sell their "it's so close " rubbish thousands of years later. Too bad they don't read the bible, just their book.

What Do You Like Least About The JW Religion?
by minimus infor me, i think it's that they are 100% intolerant.
even if they are espousing an erroneous view and it is pointed out to them why they are incorrect, you would be "running ahead" if you still did not support the error until they state that a change in viewpoint has been made!

I believe it's their total lack of independant thought that bugs me the most. I often questioned a witness with hard questions, he said he had to ask someone. How hard would it have been to answer from your own thoughts??. Hopeless bunch of drones.

Before you recycle them, pour some water over them, so when they start to dry, the pages become stuck to each other rendering them useless.

Question for any electricians or DIY people - help appreciated
by The Nothing Man inok - i was doing some work on a circuit board (actually, it was a cd drive) and basically it all went badly wrong.
i was trying to modify the circuit by soldering pins to the copper on the board, but before i did that i had to scrape away the protective layer on top.
unfortunately, i scraped too hard and damaged the copper badly.

I often encountered a break in a pc board from dropping and the solution was to install small jumpers across the break. Remove the green coating. I often used a jewelers screwdriver to accomplish this. Once that was done, you need to "tin" each side of the break with a small soldering iron. Once done, you put a tinned piece of copper wire directly onto the gap and apply heat 'till the solder flows for only a second. If there is many breaks, the repair becomes very difficult as the traces are too close. Just be careful about how much heat you apply as the traces can lift off and you are now hooped. Because it's really hot, you need to use pliers or tweezers and nerves of steel. Sometimes I used a long piece of wire, and cut it off once it cools.
Good luck.

Is being searched by your employer EVERY day legal?
by Gill ini am in the middle of induction training for a new job at a local store that is one of the uk's largest hardware stores.. today we were told it was company policy that every staff member is searched everyday before they leave the shop.
you cannot, under any circumstances leave the store until you have been searched both your bag and person and sometimes you car also searched.. your handbag has to be emptied and searched, your pockets have to be emptied and you have to take off whatever clothes you are told to take off including shoes, roll up your shirt above waist level if you are a woman and loosen the waist band of your trousers.. if i am right, even the police are not permitted to search anyone without due cause and i already feel 'violated' at the thought that i will have to go through this humiliation everyday.
this shop basically sells toiletries, garden stuff etc and insist that half of their theft if from staff.. however, we were also told that shoplifters cannot be stopped unless they have been followed all round the store and their is 100% knowledge that they have stolen something as a stop and search would get the store into terrible trouble.. so, am i correct in thinking that these people are going to violate my human rights every day!.

Home D. has a policy that requires bag inspection upon exiting as an employee. Other than that, they just do a visual at the employee exit. The key is to wear as little as possible, and to keep it unbuttoned (jackets). Purses should be kept at home. If I was subject to a patdown I would not return.
HD has a BIG problem with store theft-the most common is to take small items to the bathroom and remove the plastic. I find open packs scattered all over. Sometimes the toilets need to have the plastic removed from the trap. I have no idea what is legal, but if you accept their terms upon acceptance as an employee, you might have to suck it up if the pay is worth it.
