Maybe someone can explain why every once in a while this computer blocks certain pix. A friend of mine gets blocked constantly, but all other e mails go through. In this case all 4 deleted. Any ideas? I have my protection (firewall, etc) down to minimum. A computer whiz says it's just the way it is. Sucks.

Need a scan of forward from 1950 NWT
by Grammy ini was told it says....while inclining to view the pronunciation yah.weh as the more correct way, we have retained the form jehovah because of people's familiarity with it since the 14th century.
moreover, it preserves, equally with other forms, the four letters of the tetragrammaton jhvh (nwt, 1950 ed., foreword, p. 25 [note: this admission was removed from the 1961, 1970, 1984 editions of the nwt]).. my husband wants to see a scan before he will believe this, can anyone help me please...i trashed all my old literature.. .

OK. I read that page. Since not one soul on this or any other planet has met with the creator, just how can someone come up with any name other than "sir"? Sounds to me like they hired Sherlock Holmes to figure out a name. Imagine trying to name something that no one could possible explain what or whom God is anyway.

Roommate seems to have a hard time going to the meetings
by oppgirl63 inmy roommate seems to have the hardest time making it to the sunday meetings...and that's the only one she goes to anymore.
i went to wake her this morning and she didn't want to go and asked me if i would carry her service card (or whatever it's called) to the kh for her.
i told her no...i didn't want to talk to those people.

Another common thread I have noticed here is that being educated is some kind of sin. Imagine your creator wanting you to remain as dumb as dirt. Just what are these ppl afraid of?
I saw some religious show this morning which was dedicated to teaching how to tithe. Maybe that's the link. Dunderheads donate it all, intelligent, worldly people do not.
BTW, would someone explain to me just what they mean by worldly?

A few favourites of mine. Miguel Rios-Song of Joy, A Beethoven song- his 8th I think. Andre Rieu does an excellent rendition with his orchestra doing "The Skaters Waltz. Strauss was the composer . But I still have my heart and soul stuck in the 70's with the music of my school days. Nothing gets rid of a JW faster than a Led Zeppelin classic.

by lola28 inbecause it is hot as hell outside, it has to be 113 at least, when you walk outside you feel like you are on fire, someone make it stop!
i can't imagine going out in service in this heat but this morning on my way to work what do i see?
faithful jws walking the streets, should it be considered child abuse to make children go out in ervice in this heat?.
