Wouldn't it be more respectful to call Him Mr. God. After all we as kids never ever called our parents or their associates by their first name. It was considered rude. Isn't the name Jehovah a secular name? I always thought that only the parents named their children. And who assigned a gender to the creator anyway? Just sounds silly to me.

I shouldn't have got pissed on my response to the individual. This could be anything-just some one having fun (if that's what fun is). As a person just learning about faith(for about 6 years), I think I was supposed to be reminded about what faith is about. If I am happy where I am, It should have reflected in my response. It did not. However, I live and learn. All of you here have taught me about tolerance, a group of total strangers. That's pretty good.
So if he's just a player, I think I will let this one go.

there is a disturbing trend in my area that desperately needs attention from headquarters.
congregations are getting together for picnics, parties, "fun nights", etc.
this shocking disregard for theocratic order reached a head recently when what should have been termed a "get together" was flagrantly referred to as "the congregation picnic"!!!

OK here's the answer to question 1. Regarding shares in a company that supplies weapons for war.........A) I think this must be a different Watchtower Society! I suggested that the name is a registered trademark. Can't be copied.
Question 2. The Watchtower was a member of The United Nations, even though they condemn associating with anyone but themselves. A) The Watchtower Society wanted access to the largest library in the world.
