  Self-Esteem Shot To Pieces - No Friends

  school sucked for me as a witness.. i always wanted to be popular, have friends, have a girlfriend, go to parties, play after school sport, stay the night at friends places, do all the other stuff which was fun and made you socially acceptable - which made you feel normal - but was disallowed because i was a witness child.. i thought everything everyone did at school was a direct test of satan on me.

  that's what i was told.. so i tried to go through school living a "double life".

  i desperatley wanted to be obidient to my witness mother who i loved so much and have her approval... so while i tried hard to pretend i wasn't a witness at school - for fear of being ostracized by my peers - i also was obviously "different" to my friends...and because of this i took a lot of shit for it and eventually became unpopular to the point where i dropped out of high school because i thought no one liked me.. for example: i would never "go out" with girls who wanted to go out with me... because i was afraid they would ring my home and my mum would be "disappointed in me" and angry and upset at me.

  Don't fret for friends , simply be who you are , get to know yourself an cease looking outwards for completion .

  Fulfillment of desire ie possible once we attune desire to one point or purpose ,become knowledgable about you own inner workings and life will make sense anf this need you have will become satiated.

  Understand your thoughts rather than just acting on them or having a story about them , seperate your emotions and your thoughts and use them to your ends rather than being driven by them to pursue an agenda that isn't your own.

  Our thoughts and emotions should not compell us we should compell them. Regain order within and all we be made simple without.

  Good luck and may the light of divinity guide you clear of confusion.

  what religion are you now?

  i'm sure this has been asked a million times before but since leaving the witnesses what religion (or lack thereof) have you chosen for yourself?

  and what is it about that religion that attracted you?

  since leaving the witnesses i think i no longer believe in god, not out of anger, actually i think i like the idea of him more since i don't believe in him anymore.

  I am of the religion that has existed since man was a man , it is the truth of our inner nature, our true identiy unobscured by conditioning, although I fail to achieve the unltimate perfection of complete conection with my source at all times , I am blessed by being able to sense it each day for brief periods.

  I belong to the church of the human being, we all do, and our constant struggle to find solace and an answer to our existence simply obscures the reallity of the simple truth that all we need and desire in already within us

  " The kingdom of heaven is within you " to put it in terms relavent to christianity , it was simply put by Jesus.

  Simply being aware of ones true nature , devoid of thought and simply discovering that we are the thing that experiences thought and not the thoughts themselves nor are we the question or are the asker of the question but are the consiousness beneath thought, will point to the greater reallity dormant within us.

  It's profound and wonderfull and completely within the realm of a humans experience, it satisfies on the level of self where no self delusion is possible and makes understanding of the perfection and completeness of life possible.

  Sorry for the long tirade but the relief and joy of this realization is the greatest blessing in life and I am tasked with it's self evident duty and would be remiss as a human being if I didn't do all in my power to bring this gift in everyway possible.

  God is an invention brought about by ignorance and fear , the truth of our existence is far more wonderful and profound that any story ever told by man. Please don't give up the search for consiousness and awareness of " God ".

  i know crisis of conscience is a classic and has helped more people than will ever be known.

  but after that one or besides that one, which book has helped you reach the decision to leave or helped you feel better about leaving... made you feel validated, justified, stupid for having believed or just glad to be out?

  Look for stuff online "Adyashanti" -"Gangaji" most can be be seen on you tube as well , very cleaminded insite into the human condition and a real message to bring HEALING to your spirit not just some fluffy feel good nonsense , in fact it might not make you feel good at all , but it will introduce some clarity if you are in need .

  CoCo I somehow doubt you have a humdrum existence, you seem to be eloquent and genuinly kind ,I find it difficult to accept you would be otherwise in RL . Being predisposed to caring and helping others myself ,I feel a similarity of intent in your posts.

  Learning from others and sharing yourself with them makes everyday new and wonderful no matter what actually happens.

  i am gino alen from songkhla thailand, when i born i have muslim stamp.

  and steel when i am 30 year old, my belived is very perfect, in mean time one day one jw pooiner met me and i start study bible first time when i am 30 year and 2 month, this is very intresting for share with all, every muslim belived bible, but 99% no see bible, only speak with you i belived .
