  What if God IS a farce?

  that would really rock my world as i know it.

  after i initially left the jws' i did question the whole "is there a god"" especially when you look around and see all the atrocities - the sick sick things happening in your own back yard.then i put it out of my mind and carried on believing in a god.. right now i choose to believe in a god, whether that god be jesus, jehovah, buddha, allah, shiva, it doesn't matter - i'm happy with the idea that there is a spiritual & powerful someone running things.however lately i've been questioning again - so many posters on here that are atheists really make good arguments & i can't reason my way out of it.. why does god keep so quiet?

  So what if God is a farce?

  We still have a huge amount of love in the world and compassion and many many good people. We have enjoyments in life like making things, enjoying sexual relations, having friends, viewing entertainment, eating good tasting foods, seeing beutiful suroundings, and comunicating with our fellow faders, apostates and other expatriots. So if God is real, we know why we have all these good things, because God wants us to and If he is a farce we don't know why we have them and it doesn't matter.

  Weirdest People you've met while Witnessing!!! {Nut cases}

  i once called on a guy who invited us straight in...then told us he was "lazarus son of god.

  " he had a cazy look in his eye, and would repeat this line every few minutes.

  the brother with me was trying to "reason from the scriptures" that he in fact could not be lazarus...i just wanted to leave.

  met one 25 years ago we called the space lady. she believed she was the queen on another planet (don't remember the name now) she was placed on earth so she would be protected from the war on her planet and when the war was over, they would come and get her. I think she is gone now. they got her.

  there was another one who was into numerology everytime we came to the door she came out with a pad and pencil wrote down the time, date and how many letters were in our names and told us all about the meaning of the numbers I used to think she was crazy but she probably made more sense than we did

  they will take advantage of you, "but brother".

  they will use your good credit, your good name, and then beg off on any deal you might have had, legal or on their word........................whose next?.

  did anyone go and get a tattoo after you left, either because you really wanted too or because you just wanted to rebel.. i got one done about a year afterwards.

  I believe they would care if that's what they were told would give them everlasting life. However they are too busy trying to do all the things that the borg tells them they need to do to get everlasting life. So thay are just too busy to care, now if you could care about other witnesses and count time, we would have all kinds of caring people.

  No natural affection

  i find it strange that the witnesses often rant about natural affection.

  but the thing is, when people are disfellowshipped, in most cases the persons family cut off any contact with them, they stray to the other side of the road when they see them etc.

  now, this must mean that a witness family only loves you for your behaviour not for who you are.

  They have no time for natural affection the spiritual is spinning too fast. Prayer, Association (meetings) Study, Service, Prayer, Association, Study, Service, PASS, PASS, PASS, PASS.... When someone needs help, no time, "I think I'll PASS!"
