  Have you ever researched the patriarchs? Like REAL research, not watchtower CD-ROM or bible verse cross-indexing. I recommend reading "The Bible Unearthed" by Israel Finkelstein and Neil Asher Silberman.

  It'll flip your view of the bible and its early writers on its ear.

  ive had many single sisters (even the hot ones that horny brothers like to circle around during intermissions at assemblies/conventions) come to me recently asking if im single, what my spiritual goals are and how high in the ranks i am.

  i just tell them that im not interested in relationships at the moment and that my focus is on other things.

  they usually get the message and leave me alone.. but i lie.. .

  it's so much cheaper compared to getting the procedure done in the us it's ridiculous.

  does anybody know if it's the society that pays for all this or if it's up to each bethelite's own health insurance?

  An uncle of mine is a lifer at the Brooklyn Bethel and he was recently sent to India for open heart surgery. It's so much cheaper compared to getting the procedure done in the US it's ridiculous. Does anybody know if it's the Society that pays for all this or if it's up to each Bethelite's own health insurance? Since I faded I haven't really spoken to them so I don't know the specifics.

  i distinctly remember more than 30 years ago asking my grandfather how all of the races came about after the flood.. "well, noahs three sons were black, white, and oriental, and thats how all of the races came to be".

  wtf, i thought to myself, even as a 9 year old kid.

  a few years later i remember sitting in the kh listening to the sunday talk when the speaker went over the old "water canopy" theory, but of course presented it as fact.

  One that always bugged me was this notion that the Israelites were somehow super advanced in terms of medicine and sanitation because God purportedly told them to shit outside the camp. This is coming from the same bunch of superstitious ancient nitwits that believed buildings could catch leprosy and said buildings could be cured with bird's blood.
